Support Our Troops: A Professional Development Conference for Female Veterans – June 10th
• Financial Empowerment: Military service members, veterans, and their families and survivors need unique guidance and support to maintain their long-term financial health. CredAbility ReConnect addresses these financial challenges with a set of online tools, education and counseling. Individuals will be able to access custom versions of the online program tailored to the unique needs of the veterans, families and survivors they serve. • Personal Presentation: Maintaining a professional appearance is important to any person looking for employment. Get professional guidance on presentation for the workplace as well as personal presentation for job interviews. • Resume Writing & Interview Skills: Time Warner Cable hiring representatives will provide overall best practices when crafting an impactful resume. This presentation will provide female veterans with the best practices on maximizing the impact of a well -crafted resume and as well as a personalized resume consultation. • Entrepreneurship: Hosted by the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) from Syracuse University, this workshop will focus on the leadership and work discipline that makes veterans primary candidates for starting and maintaining small businesses. The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Veterans with Disabilities offered by Syracuse University provides veterans with assistance with starting and developing small business plans. This presentation will provide an outline of resources available as well as best practices.
