The way they touch foreheads as a sign of affection and you can see them change and grow every time they do it!!!!! And no matter how stubborn and trapped in grief Andros is, Zhane still sticks by his side and reaches out!!!! I can't cope 😭😭😭

(Red Rangers meeting)

Carter: (Was told Andros is from space, he is kinda new to Earth, only really knows his team and the Lost Galaxy team) Welcome to the group. I’m Carter Grayson. Light Speed Rescue Ranger

Andros: (On guard because Zhane told him Carter was talking smack about him before he arrived) Hm. Andros. Space Ranger

Zhane: (trying not to laugh because Andros looks like an angry chipmunk)

Carter: Oooookay. Well, we’re preparing to head into space. With you here, we could use some pointers, and all the help we can get

Andros: Clearly. I don’t imagine a fire man is good with a rocket

Carter: … I beg your pardon?

Andros: You heard me

Carter: … (points a blaster at Andros)

Zhane: (REGRET)

Dana: Carter! Put it away, he didn’t mean it!

Andros: (Points his own blaster at Carter)

Zhane: Hey, Andros, I lied! None of what I said was true! I was wrong!

Carter: (Points a SECOND blaster at Andros)

Dana: CARTER! CARTER, DROP IT!!

Andros: … Are you bringing those on the mission?

Carter: Yep. You bringing that?

Andros: And a couple other weapons. Just in case

Carter: (Holds up the second blaster) This is our ‘just in case’

Andros: (Smiles and puts away his blaster) Good to know

Carter: (Also puts his blasters away) So space?

Andros: (Shakes hands with Carter) Yep. You wouldn’t believe what’s out there

Carter: Try me. There’s a lot here I wouldn’t believe either

If you really take a step back and think about Andros’ life and the timeline of it all, it’s actually deeply fucked up and it’s remarkable he’s as well adjusted as he is. He’s been fighting for at least three years before he meets the turbo rangers, two of which were alone after his best friend/boyfriend died, and he can’t be older than 17 when we meet him, so he’s been fighting since he was 13-14, watched his planet be wiped out, his sister be kidnapped, possibly his original team die, and nearly lost his best friend. And then we see him back out into the crime fighting world like six months later in Lost Galaxy because he can’t stay settled and at peace for that long. And I find that profoundly sad. And his sister goes off into space on her own too around then, so they never do get that time back.

I think it’s so interesting how they added the detail that Leo was there for countdown to destruction, and what’s even better is that it makes sense and was basically already implied from the beginning. They don’t ever mention it, but at least Leo and Mike, if not the rest of the Earth rangers, are from Angel Grove. Leo is on line with bulk and phenomenous to get a passport. I know they didn’t think of it that way and were just trying to make it make sense why Leo knows who Andros is, but it tracks. And that’s wild.
