2019 update
Prism Tats - Mamba - another new album with a great postpunk sound
Using guitars, vocals and sparse electronic elements, Prism Tats pulls from various visual and musical inspirations to create waking dream sub-realities that devastate and elate.

If you’re in the mood for some gritty chugging, psych tinged, post-punk inflected rock, you’re going to want to take Prism Tats’ new single for a gratifying spin. Garett van der Spek, the Los Angeles by way of South Africa artist behind the project, has spent the past year supporting the likes of Guided By Voices, Surfer Blood, and Nada Surf. He’s now prepared for us a five song EP entitled “11:11″, out on July 28th via ANTI- Records. Used To Be Cool is a rambunctious cruncher of a rock and rolling taste off the EP that evokes a mixture of Operators and The Black Keys or Spanish Gold. You can keep up with Prism Tats and find out more about his new EP on the band’s official website, here.
