Henry had been in the slammer for less than a month for assault and battery before he figured out how things went down. It was a dog eat dog world in prison and the moment you showed a show any dominance against another you became a wolf to the general populace. Henry knew though he wasn't top of the food chain for now at least and that suited him fine, who would wanna be at the top anyway with such a long way down he would constantly think to himself as he sat on his bunk bed late a night.

Today came the fateful day of his former bunkmate's release, a welcome sight for him perhaps after the numerous displays of pure adulterated displays of dominance he'd show on the man many times a day. yet for Henry it was a time for stress, he hardly wanted to wind up with a big dude covered with tattoos that answered to the name Bubba right?

As luck would have it he never ended up with Bubba but instead an entirely new beast of a man by the name of Connor. gossip quickly got around in the cells as it did that big old Connor was a politician that had some dirty deeds in life and been caught for it, better yet if rumors were to be believed the man had an ass on him that could turn a straight man, lucky that Henry was hardly of the straight variety.

The black-haired jock waited until the night to set upon the bigger man, as he jumped down from his bed, retrieved the handcrafted shiv from his sock and crept up on the sleeping beauty, sliding into the bunk beside and pressing both the blade and the bulge of his sweats against Connor's body, "Hey big boy, try not to make any sudden movements I'd hate to knick you somewhere important" he taunted and pressed the blade in harder to make his point "And just try to call the guards over and we'll see what's quicker, me stabbing you or them arriving on the scene" he threatened as he slowly started to grind his crotch against Connor's backside.

Since there seems to be nothing worthwhile to do in prison, what do you do to pass the time?

You’re right, there isn’t anything worthwhile to do in prison, but if you really are curious I can give you a glimpse into my daily routine:

I wake up every morning at exactly 5:30am to be checked by the warden himself. I am then sent down to have breakfast with the other prisoners in the facility, thank god I don’t work in the kitchens, that would be an even earlier start

I then go to the West Wing to do the laundry (that being my assigned job) after this we go back to the Mess Hall for lunch. Once the lunch break is over, we have two hours for ‘recreational’ activities such as going to the gym, library or commissary. Then we return to our assigned tasks. 

At 5:00pm we have dinner, followed by counselling or rehabilitation services. Then we return to our cells at 8:00pm. I go to sleep at exactly 11:00pm, when the lights go out. The next morning the cycle repeats.

Did the prison you were sent to have any asari? What do you think about their mono-gendered thing?

What do I think about it? I don't think I care. Why should I? I have more important things to think about than what gender the asari are or aren't. I like asari, they're resourceful and the byproduct of living for centuries is you have a lot of contacts. Useful for people like me.

The prison I was sent to was run by humans, I believe? Having asari in men's prison is a touchy subject for them, so no asari.

[What kind of punishments did inmates receive for breaking 'laws' or rules? Have you ever done it or seen it happen?]

There were dozens of punishments. The most common was transfers, or threat of transfers. It sounds like a relatively weak punishment, but it casts you out into an entirely new environment. And usually they decide to downgrade you and put you somewhere more dangerous if you act out.

There was solitary confinement that could last up until... I think the maximum penalty was a fortnight. On occasion it was for the person's own safety. Sometimes people were physically restrained, again usually for their own safety. Depending on the guard they occasionally let it go on longer than necessary.

Technically the guards couldn't use physical violence unless absolutely necessary, but some people can't be afforded any kind of power. It goes to their heads. I saw all of this plenty of times. The most notable time it happened to me was when I tried to smuggle something in from the outside and was caught.

I didn't misbehave much afterwards. There's no point in sticking your neck out.

[What was the most common species in that prison?]

I didn't count. There were a lot of salarians, elcor, volus, and humans. Not as many turians. There were a surprising amount of drell, but we housed drug dealers, it makes sense. I hadn't seen so many before, that's it.

We only had a handful of krogan. White collar crime isn't their modus operandi, go figure.
