tim has never been quite so grateful for years of learning to hide his emotions , because , honestly , he’s having a bit of what his friends would call a FANBOY MOMENT ( it’s not his fault that their idols turned out to suck , but whatever ) . the real point is that his lady’s current tenuous arrangement with the league of assassins has put her apprentice in the same orbit as BANE .

yeah . THE BANE .

master strategist and combatant , one of the best minds in their circles currently , the man who broke the BAT - he’s allowed to be a little impressed , okay ? not that he’ll show it - lady shiva wouldn’t be pleased if tim made a fool of himself here , and , by extension , shamed HER . which leaves tim - shikra , so far as most of the assembled league associates know - to watch the man , face carefully neutral .

tim’s both impressed and thoughtful - bane’s conquering of gotham had been quite the feat , and it makes him wonder whether staying at bruce’s side would have made a difference . could ROBIN have turned the tide ? ... who knows .
