Privacy Breach and Attack: Yubin and the Sasaeng Incident
In the past few days, two disturbing events have happened - both involve clear violations of Wang Yibo's personal boundaries. One stems from a former colleague betraying trust. The other exposes the dangerous extremes of obsessive fandom.
1. Yubin Crosses the Line
A few days ago, Yibo’s former co-star, Yubin, posted a screenshot on Weibo showing an online store employee signing off as “Wang Yibo.” It was meant as a joke, and maybe it would have been overlooked - if not for what had happened just days earlier.
Shortly before, during a livestream, Yubin admitted that Wang Yibo had removed him from his WeChat Moments, which means cutting him off from updates about Yibo's private life.
Commenters under the post I mentioned above reminded him that Yibo had clearly set a boundary - yet Yubin continued using Yibo’s name for his own gain. What happened next? Instead of ignoring the criticism, Yubin posted a snippet of a private chat where he sent birthday wishes to Yibo, and Yibo replied politely.
By doing this, Yubin effectively “leaked” a private conversation - including Yibo’s personal profile picture. Yubin didn't provide the proof of consent and there’s absolutely no reason to think Yibo agreed to this. One would have to be extremely naïve to believe that Yibo, known for fiercely protecting his privacy, would willingly expose a private chat just to prove a point online.
Publishing private messages without consent is a serious breach of trust. In this case, it’s even worse because it came from someone Yibo once worked with. It damages reputations, sparks unwanted speculation, and erodes the basic boundaries that should exist between colleagues.
2. Sasaeng Fan’s Dangerous Attack
Two days ago, even more alarming incident involved a sasaeng - an obsessive fan acting dangerously. Evidence suggests this person was part of the bjyx fandom: a dashcam video of the incident was first posted on a bjyx xhs channel and later removed.
Before the attack, the black fan tried to spy on Yibo during lunch, hoping to catch him with Xiao Zhan. When it turned out he was dining with friends from Uno Racing instead, the sasaeng fan became enraged and attempted to drive a car at Yibo’s bodyguard, Lele.
This escalation shows the real dangers celebrities face when obsession crosses the line into criminal behavior. It also shows that bjyx isn’t harmless fun - it can push people to extreme actions when their fantasies are shattered.
3. Summary - A Disturbing Pattern
These two incidents are very different, but they share a common thread: a blatant disregard for Yibo’s personal boundaries.
