Day 14: Burgos to Hontanas. 21 miles. I got to Hontanas, and as always, I go to the church in the town and light a candle for my mom. It’s a ritual I have. Next, I went to the fountain and filled up my water bladder with the intention of continuing on for another 6.4 miles to Castrojeeiz, and I looked at how far I’ve walked, and it wasn’t 20 miles, it was 21, and I realized that I would walk more than a marathon. And I don’t want to walk more than a marathon. And then this orange cat came up and reminded me that I have a reservation here, and so I followed him, and I’m in the nicest room alive had on the whole Camino, and I ran into my Swiss friend Monica and my German friend Marta, and all is well. Oh, and I have fantastic WiFi. Like maybe I should just stay here for two days. And maybe I’m a little delirious because I really think the cat told me to stay. #privatebathroom #caminogogo #camino2019 #leftrightleftright #hontanas #caminocat (at Hontanas, Spain) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxsAHXrI3ae/?igshid=h8rm5w771to0
