shoutout to the Black lesbians out there this lesbian visibility week. to the femmes, butches, studs, and all of the labels you orient yourself with. to the transfem, transmascs, transneus and other lesbians of various transitionary kinds. to the ones with partners and the ones who are alone and the ones who are poly. to the ace and arospec ones, to the ones who feel like they aren't welcome within the lesbian community for one reason or another. the intersex ones, the ones with complicated relationships to gender due to misogynoir, and many more. you all deserve to be heard and seen this week, and every day outside of it too. you deserve to feel welcome within the lesbian community and have your experiences heard

uplift the Black lesbians around you, make them feel seen and heard and cared for. you must do your part to ensure this

What I don’t get about “Pro-Black doesn’t mean Anti-White” is like I get what yer saying (feels like too much not trying to scare the whites/offend white allies) but being pro-Black absolutely does mean and should mean being anti-white

To want to dismantle the institutions of whiteness means getting rid of whiteness. White supremacy only stops existing when no one’s white.

So a black girl @officially_cynn is opening a beauty supply store and her stating “stop going to them Asians” because they are extremely anti black (have physically and verbally abused black ppl in their stores) caused anger from them.

“support everyone black”  is a statement that i won’t get behind since someone’s blackness doesn’t erase if they ain’t shit (see r.kelly for example .)   we must hold folx accountable , call people out (including those in our lives) for the bullshit.  so question what pro blackness actually means, think before stating “support everyone black”  & also stop presuming being woke is a one step thing.

Everyday I wake to news of another black life taken in the spirit of anti blackness. Everyday Black Life, Black People, Black Love continues to breath, grow, and thrive in the face of anti blackness. All I can focus on is bringing light, perpetuating Love, and being medicine. Everyday I wake to news of increased disrespect against mother earth. Everyday the earth takes parts of herself back, no matter the cost to humans. Everyday She reclaims pieces of herself while divinely and defiantly putting us in check / death. All I can focus on is bringing light, perpetuating Love and being medicine. Everyday I wake to news of another woman's life taken in the spirit of anti woman anti Goddess, anti feminine energy. Everyday the women, we rise, we fight, we get stronger, and we ARE dismantling white supremist patriarchy. All I can focus on is bringing light, perpetuating Love and being medicine. Everyday I wake to news of the disregard of our animal sisters and brothers. Everyday our animal brothers and sisters show us the way to conservation, salvation and most ancient and sacred earth wisdom. All I can focus on is bringing light, perpetuating Love and being medicine. Everyday I wake to news of my Trans Sisters of color being murdered, tortured, and or disrespected. Everyday my Trans sisters and brothers throw the greatest shade possible...they LIVE they THRIVE. Every day the breath they DEFY and BLESS us all with the gift of their lives. All I can focus on is bringing the light, perpetuating Love and being medicine. Everyday I wake to news of Native Indigenous tribes all over the globe being murdered, moved without consent, and disrespected. Everyday I wake to the knowledge that plan, the knowledge, the blueprint to saving this earth lies in native indigenous wisdom, spirituality, and direction. All I can focus on is bringing the light, perpetuating Love and being medicine. Everyday I wake. Everyday I have to decide if I feed the light or if I feed the greed fueled destruction. Everyday I wake, I have the opportunity to perpetuate love over hate. Everyday I wake I have the chance to be the medicine.
