Campaigners condemn authorities who ignored girl’s plea ‘to remove what the old man put inside me’
This is heinous.
But also:
Lucía, the youngest of three sisters, became pregnant after she was abused by her grandmother’s 65-year-old partner. She was placed under her grandmother’s care in 2015, after her two older sisters were reportedly abused by her mother’s partner.
what a gross level of incompetence to continue to place children within reach of this fucking serial abusing scumbag.
Cecilia Ousset, the doctor who performed the procedure alongside her husband and fellow physician, Jorge Gijena, said: “We saved the life of an 11-year-old girl who was tortured for a month by the provincial health system.”
She accused Tucumán’s governor, Juan Manzur, of using the child for political purposes.
“For electoral reasons they [the authorities] prevented the legal interruption of the pregnancy and forced the little girl to give birth,” she said. “My legs trembled when I saw her, it was like seeing my younger daughter. The little girl didn’t understand completely what was going to happen.”
Ousset said Lucía was in a good condition after the procedure, but she did not expect the baby to survive.
Hey all you pro-life advocates, this is the logical extension of your bullshit policies.
The state has no business making personal medical decisions.

Abortion Realities
TW: Abortion, pregnancy, and all the stuff that comes with babies. I want to get real for a minute. Today I am regretting my abortion. Those who have followed my tumblr for any length of time will have noticed that this is not something I say often, but I felt it needed to be said. Maybe it's the rush of people in my mommy groups posting excited "do you see what I see?" photos of faint lines on the exact same 88 cent walmart pregnancy test I used when I found out I was pregnant with Elliot. Maybe it's the cute bumps, talk of baby kicks, labor announcements, or pictures of squishy newborns. Maybe it's all the opinion pieces floating around about the merits of Planned Parenthood. Whatever it is, today I regret my abortion and you know what? That's totally okay. It doesn't invalidate my pro-choice stance or that most days I don't regret my decision. It doesn't mean that the statistics thrown around about abortion regret "prove" anything. It just...is. It's a part of healing from everything that came together in a perfect storm that I'm not entirely sure where it started and that ended with me at a clinic in Spokane. More than anything, I need healing and that's something I'm finding in a variety of ways - keeping this tumblr, sharing my story on PASS boards, talking to Partner and Silly Boy as need dictates, giving Elliot an identity and a memory box. Today my decision hurts.
TW: Abortion
It's almost like you never left All these phantom ways your ghost moves inside me Or times I randomly feel the urge to push And for a while I begin to doubt that the doctor did her job And it doesn't matter that I know it's not possible (Because research and two pregnancy tests after the fact tell me so) Part of me secretly hopes you're still there A little overdue But still all mine

This video is really interesting, and raises important questions on how we understand and communicate with others, and how topics, such as abortion, can easily polarize groups into “you’re either for or against us” and why it shouldn’t be that way. (A side note - this video is less about abortion than it is about communication, listening, and storytelling; abortion is used as the chief example).
I love the message that this sends - it’s not about agreement or disagreement with other people, or about fighting. It’s about accepting differences between people, and how we are unique. Really a great watch.
