Probability Space by Nancy Kress
This is the third (and so far final) book in the Probability Blank series. I found it to be the weakest of the three on its own merits, but as the close of the series it was good. If you enjoy speculative fiction, the series is definitely worth the read, especially given the relatively small time investment required. Probability Space, as with the other two books, is about 6 hours cover to cover. An insomniac could potentially start and finish the series in a single day.
