HashiKakuRoyal AU + War AU
I think in this one, I like the idea of kind of Kakuzu being badly injured in battle and Hashirama coming across him. He doesn’t know Kakuzu fights for the opposite side, and since he’s so far over the battlelines, Hashirama assumes Kakuzu’s on his side. He helps get him to the medics so his wounds can be treated and they think he’s too far gone to live past a couple of days but Hashirama insists they try.
They do what he says, he’s the son of the emperor, and work to save Kakuzu’s life. He’s transfered to the palace when it’s apparent he’ll survive, and after the war, Hashirama comes to check on him regularly.
Kakuzu knows they’ll likely kill him if he tells them where he’s from, he keeps quiet about it and lets Hashirama and the others think he belong to Konoha. He values his life too much, and comes up with a plan to leave once he’s feeling well enough to.
But during his recovery, Hashirama keeps visiting him, and Kakuzu finds his offer of friendship and his kindness endearing, he starts to have feelings… and then Hashirama offers him a position as a palace guard. Without thinking, Kakuzu accepts it, telling himself he can walk away whenever he wants, when he’s better. But Konoha is nicer than Taki, and Hashirama has a kindness in him that Kakuzu has never seen before in Taki’s ruling family.
Eventually there would have to be some angst, Tobirama probably looks into Kakuzu’s story after not recognizing him, and finds there’s no record of him anywhere. He’s worried for his brother who has feelings for Kakuzu. He would then abduct Kakuzu, and interrogate him, thinking he was sent to infiltrate the royal palace, or to assassinate them. He would be hard to convince that it was all a mistake, and I don’t think Tobirama would believe the truth, and he sends Kakuzu back to Taki.
Because I’m such a sucker for happy endings, it would end with Kakuzu back in Konoha and with Hashirama. But. I am also a sucker for hurting my faves and Kakuzu would suffer for it in Taki… and Hashirama will feel so bad when he sees Kakuzu…
For KakuHida Green-Eyed Epiphany + Unexpected Virgin
For this, I would write something where Hidan and Kakuzu have known each other a really long time, and both have feelings for the other, but haven’t acted on it for some reason, probably not wanting to ruin their friendship.
Kakuzu ends up being the unexpected virgin, and Hidan is shocked, because have you seen Kakuzu?? How could he have never had sex before? But he hasn’t, he doesn’t sleep around and because he’s been in love with Hidan for so long, he could never get involved enough with anyone else to get that far in a relationship.
After a heavy make out session that is clearly leading up to sex, Kakuzu starts to lose his confidence and Hidan thinks the problem must be him. They have some words and Kakuzu finally tells him that he’s a virgin and doesn’t know what to do. Hidan is so very relieved, he doesn’t laugh or make jokes about it because that would be shitty and shows him what to do and how to do it, and with enough practice they have a very satisfying sex life. And Hidan is just so delighted that he’s the only one Kakuzu has ever been with.
Would be interesting if they were both virgins… Hidan would keep that from Kakuzu as long as possible, probably not telling him until after. Or during. When Kakuzu asks if he’s doing alright, if he likes it, and Hidan is just like ‘I don’t know I’ve never done this before either!’
This looks like it’s possibly a smut fic with awkward sex. And that would be cute.
And last is the hard one:
Tommy and AlfieIt’s Not You, It’s My Enemies + Intimate Artistry
Ok this really was a hard one, you weren’t joking! I had to look up the It’s Not You, It’s My Enemies trope. And it took me a while to think of something for it but that’s ok.
I think I would write something in an AU where Alfie was the one who broke up with Tommy to try and keep him safe. Maybe in this au Tommy isn’t running a gang, he’s an artist with PTSD after being in the war. And Alfie is involved with shady people, let’s say he had to borrow money and is having a hard time paying it back.
The people Alfie borrowed from want their money back, plus interest. He doesn’t have it, so they start threatening him and that’s why he breaks up with Tommy.
Tommy is angry and hurt, and puts that into his art, sketching very lonely and very dark pieces.
Polly is like ‘wtf Thomas.’ when she finds them, worried about him. He tells her he’s fine. She knows it’s a lie and eventually drags it out of him what happened.
Eventually Tommy goes to see Alfie, they fight, and then they kiss and fall into bed, or onto a couch, or the floor. Then they finally talk. Tommy would be pissed because Alfie should have told him in the first place what was going on, and they come up with a plan together over some whiskey.
