Thinking of Kakuzu when he was tasked with assassinating Hashirama and failed spectacularly.

Hashirama being himself, grinning at this very serious guy offering to give him another go once he gets better at fighting. Kakuzu outraged and going at him mindless to be put back on his ass immediately.

So Kakuzu takes him up on that offer and the next time they come to blows it’s over as soon as the first time. And each time Hashirama gives him pointers on how to improve because he can see the potential and what a waste it would be to not hone it, shape it and free it into the world of shinobi.

Their meetings become more training exercises than assassination attempts but not in the way Hashirama and Madara meet out in the battlefield, holding back and never reaching an accord. Harsh words of dead brothers and never ending angst.

No, these two could feel the thrill between their sparring, the heated dancing of their chakra when jutsus were spat out. It was intoxicating and liberating despite the nature of their meetings.

Like his younger brother, Tobirama, Kakuzu had a knack for experimenting and developing new techniques. And gods above was it a sight to behold, the day Kakuzu had revealed his newest technique and the explanation of the second heart his body now possessed.

Hashirama wanted to poses this warrior. He had realized then.

Have him on the playing board to fight for him and only for him.

After three long years, it's finally come to an end! I'm over thirty years old, haven't read a single chapter of Naruto in almost ten years, and this is like, my only Naruto fanfic. But I needed to write it! Even though I didn't like how the manga ended, it's still one of my first manga, and one of my favorites. Shoutout to Kishi for accidentally writing one of the most homoerotically complex manga in manga history. This story didn't even feature Naruto or any of his ten million crushes, but I hope I was able to tap into the spirit of the story.

And I hope YOU enjoyed reading through probably my longest fanfic since my grade school Twilight fanfiction. I hope you liked my spin on the different clans, caste structures, and of course, the characters themselves. As awful as I made some of them, I enjoyed writing about every single one of them! I hope you enjoyed them too!

Roleplay / Writing / Collab wishlist — Kakuzu’s failed attempt to assassinate Hashirama.

Depending where this takes place, the whole entire area is destroyed not because Kakuzu made any dent, but because Hashirama’s rage is uncontrollable. And just to drive the point further, in the middle of a flattened expanse, Hashirama straddled Kakuzu to beat him repeatedly, violently, yet not enough to kill him. The rage may be humongous, but the strength is superbly restrained.

The only way Kakuzu lived was because of Mito’s mercy. She stopped her husband from killing Kakuzu! It’s fine though, Hashirama heals Kakuzu and also does his facial reconstruction surgery. Hashirama has to hold Mito’s hand to prevent him from choking his patient for fun.

Once things are calmed, they can talk about the Politics of this Dumbass Move and we can go from there?

Consider: Kakuzu can assist Mito in managing all finances of the Senju clan? It seems to fit with his Akatsuki persona.

Shodai Hokage’s personal ANBU team?

HashiMito + Kakuzu group plotting and rp would be a dream come true.
