byler is genuinally one of my favourite fandoms because never in my life have i seen a group of people so perseverant. we got queerbaited, had a massive communal crashout over it, managed to convince ourselves two days after that there was 2hrs of missing footage, found evidence, got a petition which got over 200,000 signatures, only to find out it wasn't true, then convinced ourselves AGAIN that byler would be canon in the finale, got queerbaited a second time (in under a week), then manage to convince ourselves that there's some massive plot twist where the finale isnt the finale and there's an entire other episode (with evidence) and are now convinced that we're going to get ANOTHER finale??? genuinally we're all going crazy. but we're going crazy together <333

with all this about the writers of ttmd;ttms and ytmh(iws) being the same person, i think it answers an age old question: who is driving the byler bus??

okay guys we've got all the byler variants now and they are beautiful but?? what are we doing with them???

personally im advocating for one massive crossover fic with them all. like:

paladin mike is protecting what he thinks is cleric will but is actually canon will from vampire mike (he is doing nothing threatening)

meanwhile cleric will is over by scoops mike quizzing him about different flavours of ice cream

never found will byers is talking to zombie will over by the door and are talking about their shared experiences with death or near death

will was never found mike wheeler is by the wall watching never found will to make sure he doesn't lose him again and surfer will is trying to figure out why this mike is so traumatised

michelle is having a squabble with canon mike and hellfire mike over d&d rules

willow is with caliwill and theyre drawing all the mikes together

we're losing the ancient texts because back in my day (1.5 years ago) the generally considered big 3 was jegulus, wolfstar and dorlene... and now it seems to be jegulus, wolfstar and rosekiller.... come on we had 1 proper wlw ship why did we let it fall off.... grieving the lesbians today

s5 scenario where mike and will are sittng in mike's room. they talk. they kiss. point is, they get together. and suddenly the camera cuts to a shot of mike waking up, wil being nowhere to be seen. mike is clearly confused, becausr will has been stayinh with him and yet there's no evidence of his stuff in the room, and he can't see him. so he goes downstairs, and sees karen and asks her, "where's will?"

karen looks really sympathetic and puts down whatever she has in her hands, and goes to mike, and says "micheal, have you had one of your dreams again?" she takes him to a chair, and sits down with him, and mike is really confused now, because what dreams?

and she says in an apologetic voice "will's dead, mike. he's been dead for years. you saw his body being pulled out the lake, remember?"

and mike sits there, distraught, because how had he just... dreamed the last few years? how could will be dead? how could he have lost him?

and in the background, we hear the faint chiming of a clock.
