ykw i get why the merlin fandom is still active after a decade of the show ending bc every time I think about how Arthur and Merlin behaved around each other, I feel insane.

bc why are they playing in my face, genuinely what was the directing decision that led to making Arthur constantly make heart eyes at merlin, like i get that sometimes fans blow things out of proportion with some ship moments, but merthur is not one of those things because they just have them doing THE most gay shit with no reasonable explanation.

like them running around with a pride flag would be more subtle than whatever they're doing on that show.

Ok i know morgana has to he the villian of the story but imagine if merlin did tell her he was a sorcerer and starts teaching her magic. Telling her the whole time that as unfair as it is, ut would be better for them to bid their time till uthers natrual rien ends so arthur can take the throne and not taint his ideals of magic anymore then they already are. Morgana relictebtly agrees and so Merlin starts showing her what he knows and they sneek around the castle to practice and learn.

This leads to them both learning how to pass thoughts to one another and speak mentally. Merlin uses it to dis the courts when they are all summoned for one reason or another and morgana has to bite back a laugh at what he says she then shares her own thoughts like.

'Do you see what so in so is wearing, to a royal council meeting, dreadful' and merlin will always comment on the stupid things uther and especially arthur say.

'For someone who hates magic his very blind' morgana would say and merlin would think back. 'Remember when he fucked a troll' and Morgana has to turn her head and hold her sleeve to her face to hide her laughter. It woukd also lead to merkin accidentally sharing the wrong thoughts without thinking like.

'I know he doesnt dress himself much but arthur always looks good in red, makes his eyes more apparent' he then meets morganas gaze with surprise horror and she looks at him with gleeful shock.

'Merlin did yiu just complement the crowned prince' and hed just be shaking his head then looking down and anywhere that isnt her ir arthur
