i am not one for conspiracy theories, but i don’t think it’s so far fetched to think, jkr started a controversy in the months before the release of two things connected to her properties, one of which reinforces her (racist and transphobic) views
like, am i the only one who thinks she built this shit up publicy on purpose to sell her transphobic book to those susceptible to nostalgia and to have people talk about legacy? i mean, the franchise was dying after cursed child and the last fantastic beasts, she needed people to talk about it and to remember it, for better of for worse... it doesn’t matter how many of us won’t buy her new thriller and the rpg, because many more will remember it as they see people talk about it and will think “meh, maybe she’s not so bad she did give us hogwarts”
what i’m saying is, jkr used her transphobia as a marketing platform and we should probably just make her fall into oblivion
