Tbh something I find really fascinating is the cadre of shows/whatever that are like Incredibly popular/well-known within fandom spaces but almost unheard of out of it

Like Due South was Omnipresent on livejournal and yet I have literally never seen those words outside of that website, ao3, or tumblr

Admittedly this says something about what other circles I spend time in (like DS is presumably a Canadian show so I guess it may be pretty popular there) but just the contrast between some of these fandomy things and other is just... Incredible
