Wow you’re quick with your art
Whoa wait I'm not- really
Hello! Hope you are well. I recently saw a comment of yours saying you are a wanderer? That’s not a term I’ve come across before in witchy spaces and am very curious about it!! What does it mean really and/or what does it mean to you?
Hi, things are pretty good thanks!
I’d have to say, it’s not really a witchy term, though like every aspect of my life it all kind of ends up playing into my craft. Like, I’m an also artist and thus a lot of drawing, painting, wood carving, metal working, etc. have heavily influenced my path.
So when I say I’m a wanderer, I mean it literally. I’m most at home away from home, and I make a point when I can to take my time getting wherever I have to go. When I hike or walk the dog taking any new path I haven’t before. When I travel I want to like to see what the locals see and explore new places to understand the people and energies of that place. When I’m rooted in one place (I just moved to a new state and it’s the first time I’ve been settled in one place in a long time) I’ll wanderer every side road, explore every monument, get very familiar with the area as I literally wander and walk wherever I can.
And I don’t want it to sound more romantic than it is. It’s just been more affordable and inline with our interests to work from home, staying with family, friends, and an ex-partner (maybe it was a little romantic, discovering you’re poly) in various places over the past few years. I’ve been able to keep on the move with my long time partner, Silver, and that’s been really nice. But I’m not opposed to the idea of settling down for a while now. It’s hard to make friends when you’re always picking up and going elsewhere.
Needless to say, when you wander a lot you get to know places and you notice the kinds of things in that witch tip post everywhere . I know every old tree and every trail of the woods in my home town. I’ve worked with the spirits of that forest as much as I have the spirits in the alleys and neighborhoods of the town itself. Plus when you don’t have an attachment to any place in particular, you can find that you have an attachment to where you are in the moment, and I find that helps with knowing your local spirits no matter where you are. And this might be a related effect, but you become very comfortable in liminal spaces.
Anyway, thanks for the ask and I hope you found that interesting! Maybe you can look into your own life and find somethings that aren’t specifically witchcraft related, but see how they’ve played their part in your path.
Also I love your name 🥰 Dandelions are my favorite flower(tied with lavender)!
How do other people with full time jobs manage to draw and post so much?
This may not seem like a witchy project, but trust me, it’ll get there. This is just my documentation of the first steps. I picked up this knife from a yard sale last summer and I’ve been meaning to modify it since then. it’s a great little pocket knife that I got for maybe $2?. It was very handy while helping expand my mother in laws garden (check link for cute baby squirrel), but I had one major complaint. As you can see by the picture on the left, it comes in this garish fake gold color, which I hate. So it’s 5am and I just got done sanding off all the anodization, because the acid I had wasn’t strong enough to clean it off. Already it looks and feels so much nicer. The plans are as follows. In a few hours I’m going to take it apart again and take it to the polishing wheel, because like I said it’s 5am. Also I’m not dumb enough to polish a fully assembled knife in the morning after not sleeping. Thanks, I’ll take the scales off first. So I want to get the scales to a mirror finish. Then I’m going to use nail polish to paint some sigils disguised as constellations an star patterns on then shiny new scales. Finally I’m going to give it a vinegar bath which will greatly darken the exposed steel, but when I dissolve the nail polish it’ll have silver stars all over the newly darkened scales.
I’m not super sure what I’m going to do to the blade itself. I might practice my file work on the spine. Really it’s just something to keep me busy while I wait a few more weeks for it to be warm enough to blacksmith. I’m so excited to get back to blacksmithing. I have so many ideas and plans. I’ll talk more about those in detail later, but expect atheme, iron wands, maybe some bells if I can figure that out, and I really want to do some scroll work and make a ye olde hanging shop sign.
Self Care Spell
Hi. The Depression™ has recently been... there. So I’m making this handy spell to help myself and anyone else through it.
For this spell you will need: 1 Slice of cold pizza 1 Bag of lemon tea 1 Mug of hot water
First you’re going to want to put the tea in the water to steep. Sugar and cream to taste. Next prepare the cold pizza. You can warm it up or just slap it on a reused paper plate that you’ve been meaning to throw out all week, but still haven’t.
Eat some of the pizza and sip the tea. Rest head on your keyboard y7y6hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and after a short rest the spell is complete. You may need to keep sipping the tea and nibbling pizza to feel the full effects. I feel a little better already.
How are you so handsome all the time?

Cleaning out an old note book
I was going thought a pocket notebook and cleaning out old pages from complete projects and shopping lists I no longer need and I found this page that says:
Witchy Idea
Look into making my own glue
Maybe look into dandelion latex
Look into enchanting glue
I never actually looked into home made glue that could be used for higher strength application. Like, I’ve made pitch glue from pine, which is pretty strong, but not something I would use in place of something like craft glue, which I think is something I was thinking about when I wrote this years ago? Anyway, I guess this is another thing to add to the list. Maybe I’ll bookmark some youtube tutorials before bed quick.
