Egg Readings only $3

I'm offering egg cleaning readings! I kept getting so many requests (literally dozens a year for the past few years) that I've spent some time actually learning how to read eggs, so I can offer it as a service! And I figure charging $3 for my time is probably better than turning away a ton of people repeatedly.

So what is an egg reading?

Egg cleansing is a pretty common type of curse removal. In summery, you rub a fresh egg over the victim and focus on forcing all the negativity into the egg. It absorbs the curse/hex/negative energy and you can discard the egg, and with it the bad junk.

If you would like an egg reading, click on this link and you'll be taken to my kofi. Go to where it says "Egg Reading" click "Request This". There you'll see instructions to preform an egg cleansing and send me the picture, and I'll analyses that picture and tell you what I can figure out. It's as easy as that! Alternatively, I just turned on Tips, so you can pay me through that! If you've got Stripe, it should let you use it.

Hopefully this can help out some people who keep asking me, and it can help me pay for some bills or food.

Complete Passer Azimuth Deck

Here's the complete set of Azimuth cards in Passer's deck. They're all made from collaged bits of medieval woodcuts, digitally arranged and colored with some crazy colors and textures. Not really sure what else to say about these, other than I think they came out sick.

The first one, the guy with the triangle head, was designed by Trent Holbrook. Idk if Trent has a tumblr, but his instagram is Miscast.Co, and his youtube channels are here, and here. That card was meant to be a bit of fanart for him. His daily hobby vlog has really helped me stay motivated and inspired when working on this project. If one of those two links don't work in the future, it's because his vlog is a permadeath vlog, meaning if he misses a daily upload, he deletes the channel.

Okay - but the backpack under the cloak makes me look misshapen.

This is true. I’ve been trying to embrace the band t-shirt, jeans, hoodie, and cloak look, but I stop short when it comes to the backpack silhouette. Then I spent a few days walking around with a shoulder bag and the uneven weight made my old back and hips hurt. Maybe I should have worn a sword on the other hip?

The length and style of the cloak matter. If long ones are too cumbersome, try a shortcloak. If the classic center part design doesn’t work for you, try a poncho or offset style or something with arm slits or a ruana. If the closure digs into your neck, try something with a lower closure (below the collarbone) or longer ties that you can loop under your arms for comfort or ease of movement.

The material makes a huge difference too. You want something sturdy and serviceable, suited to the weather and your personal comfort. Velvet LOOKS pretty, but real velvet is heavy as fuck, requires a liner, and doesn’t do well in the rain. Wool is excellent for cloaks, but you need to make sure you’re getting good quality that’s properly done up for water resistance, with a liner if you don’t want it next to your skin. Canvas is another option, especially if you’re expecting rain. (I’ve had good experiences in cloaks with a nice thick cotton shirting and moleskin fabric with a soft liner.)

As for the bag/backpack part, Alex is correct - balancing the load makes a huge difference. Carry your bag crossbody (or on your back) whenever possible and pad the strap if you need to. There are some bags that are convertible between a messenger bag and backpack style. Try adding a belt pouch or leg holster on the opposite side from where you carry your shoulder bag. Tightening the bag straps can help, so it’s not hanging so low or swinging around so much. Keeping the size and the load reasonable for your needs, or spreading it between more than one carrier, is important too.

And here’s the bit that gives people hell - large shoulder or crossbody bags and backpacks should be worn OVER your cloak. Medium and small bags can be worn underneath. The main deciding factor is comfort, but also take into account the style of the cloak and how easily you need to be able to take the bag off to access the contents.

Also? LAYERS. Just like with coats. Layer appropriately for comfort, weather, and itinerary. And when in doubt, a walking stick is always a good idea.

I second all this.

Also ruana cloaks are really comfy and easy to make. I count them among the most comfortable and accessible cloaks. It's literally a couple yards of fabric with a slit 3/5s of the way up the middle (you can round the very end in a kinda tear drop shape for extra comfort nicer drape).

Hey, I might be more of a Uniball Vision kinda entity, but the cristal has it uses. All the black ballpoint in these cards I made is done with a Cristal. And all the glossy black in the top right (kawaii desu demon)? All that is Bic Cristal. It's not like, a good pen, but my hand is fine. Would I buy one? Well I sure as hell didn't buy this one. But it works well enough.

(Also should be noted that the theme of this set of cards, aside from being nightmare monsters from my dreams, is the idea that anyone can make cards in the game I made with anything. That's why these are drawn on cardboard from boxes with the cheapest pens I own. The Cristal is fine, but I do love myself enough to have decent pens.)

Azimuth by Wizard Punk

Creative Collectable Trading Card Game

It is done(ish). Passer has been harassing me for the past couple months, but I've managed to finish making the rules for this card game. It was something to do while in hiding, so I can't complain, I guess.

It's a pretty simple game, really. Like, only takes maybe 5 minutes to learn? Everyone I've tested with picks it up instantly. I could have fit all the rules on one page, but this looks prettier as an actual PDF. Still need to finish up the printable zine version, but that comes later.

The biggest draw of the game is that the players make the cards, and you play for keeps. So if you lose, you give the winner one of your cards. This also means that trading cards, win or lose, is encouraged. Really half the game is artist trading cards. And you can make the cards look like anything. They don't even need to be card shaped, technically.

There's a very basic set of standardization rules to the game that makes them legal for play. Basically each card has 4 edges, and those edges need numbers between 0 and 10, and the 4 edges need to total up to 15. As long as it legible and you know which direction is the top of the card, anything goes. Like, very basic and simple.

Printable zine is now a thing! Not that the game is in anyway complex enough to need a printed rule book, but it could be a good way to get new player into it, in person. I'm probably going to leave some of these at the library, and the little "take a book, leave a book" library at the park.

Posting this here, because I know some of my followers aren't just witches, but also stationary nuts. The game I spent the past couple months making is arguably more about making the playing cards for your personal deck than actually playing the game, and I know some of you would love it.

Just finished the cover for Wizard Punk Volume 2! Thanks to Ms. Grackle for being my hand model this time!

This volume might take a little longer to get out than the first one, which we slapped together in like a couple weeks. There's a lot going on right now. I'm sure you know, you're probably a person who's living though another round of unrepresented times, just like the rest of us.

Hey, but that means we can take our time on it, and if you've got ideas you want to submit or just casually talk at me in the comments or reblogs, that'll give us more time to turn it into a page.

Speaking of, we're reworking the whole zine from a single page 8 panel print out to a digest style 8.5 by 5.5 inch zine with multiple bound paged. That means we're not limited to 8 pages. We can do more or less or whatever! Probably going to aim for a min of 8, maybe a max of 16? I donno. I'm the only witch on the team that knows how to use a printer, so I guess I'll have to explain this to everyone and get their input. Probably just going to go with the flow.

And I'll go back and reformat the first zine in the same way so it prints better, but that's a slightly later problem. I hope Passer's picture survives the upscale... Huh... future problems indeed.

Anyway, I've got to finish a cargo manifest and send some messages before we take off, and it's already 5am and the captain will be a little disappointed if we're not ready to launch by 8ish... Are you still an early bird if you never sleep?

Aw, thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my rando witch adjacent nonsense. I used to want this blog to be educational, but I gave up. I suppose it's more showing than telling these days. I'd rather just show glimpses of how there can be a little magic in everything.

I just watched an episode of Andor while sewing this on with red cinnamon dental floss in X stitches. I love it when I can find the red cinnamon dental floss because it takes that folk magic of red string and fuses it with the punk tradition of using dental floss to sew things. Also, cinnamon is great.

I got this button in Hobbiton on a trip to New Zealand in 2019 and kept telling myself I'd put it on my witch punk battle jacket, I finally did it! One of the buttons ripped out so I have reinforced it and sewed in this acorn button.

Wizard Punk Zine

So, as a little side project to keep my sanity, I'm making a zine based on fantasy RPG world underground punk culture. Specifically wizard punk culture. So far it's pretty fun. I'm writing some stuff about fictional band recommendations, tips on growing magical plants to feed and potion your community, call to arms regarding anti-royal protests and ways to keep yourself safe (which all may reflect irl protests and advice). I had to stop myself when I realized it's probably not a good idea to tell people how to cast "Gripping Flames" by dissolving forbidden parcel legumes in liquid ancient dragon bones. If you know, you know, and unfortunately distributing a zine that could be misconstrued as a thinly veiled recipe for napalm is probably something the govt would catch on to and not approve of. So I'm just going to not include that. But you get the spirit of what I'm going for. Not entirely sure what else I'm going to put in this. Probably some baking recipes for cookies and stuff. More community driven stuff. More fictional fantasy events based on irl stuff that's happening. Art, poety, etc. If anyone has any ideas, please, let me know. I've only ever gotten a couple punk zines irl before, and those where either very activism based, or art based, so I don't really know what else to include. Also activism, community and art/music are really the biggest parts of punk culture I'm involved in, so I don't have the experience to include more.

Anyway, just felt like sharing what I was play with. Now I got to hit the hay. Got lots of work and stuff to do tomorrow.
