Clients who pretend to know Local Search
Me: I have your profile pulled up, what seems to be the problem?
Client: Well, I'm paying you to get me on Google and I'm not on Google.
Me: According to my Ranking Report you're a First Page Listing for 4 of your 5 keywords.
Client: Well, I type [Transmission Repair] into Google and I don't show up.
Me: Did you just put [Transmission Repair] or did you identify location (city)?
Client: Well who's gonna type [city]?
Me: Sir, that's the location where you want to rank . . . to draw customers from your surrounding area. . .
Client: Well I don't live [there] I live on the outskirts.
Me: That may very well be, but Google pin points your business in [city].
Client: I don't want to rank there, I want to rank in [town]
Me: Have you Googled your keyword yet?
Client: I'm doing that now. Another thing, why do you put [TRANSMISSION REPAIR SERVICE]? No one will type "service".
Me: That's the keyword that Google best recognizes. It come up as a recommended search when you begin typing transmission repair.
Client: I dont' see no recommendation.
Me: I'm going to pull you into Join.me which will allow me to show you (from my screen) how to do a Google Search.
(Join.Me session begins).
Me: Here is your business on Google. It's in [city], which is bigger than [town] that you want to rank. Wouldn't it be better for your business if you ranked well in a bigger city?
Client: That's not where I am! I don't care what Google says! I want to rank in [town]. You guys guaranteed you would get me on Google.
Me: Sir, you are on Google. You're ranking for a top Pack Listing in a very large city. If the sales team made you any guarantees I apologize on behalf of them. Our goal is to get you to rank on Google, we don't guarantee it. In any of the case, you're ranking.
Client: Direct me to the sales team. I'm going to cancel!
