Processing Film

Processing my first roll of film:

-The role of film must be detached from the small cylinder in complete darkness where i then loaded it onto a plastic spiral which is then placed into a plastic tank making sure it is covered with a lid.

- Lights were then turned on where i then followed a step by step guide on how to use the developer, stop, fix and wash tank.

- 200ml of water were to be mixed in with 200ml of developer which would then be mixed together to pour into the tank leaving it in for thirteen minutes however agitating on each minute.

- 400ml of stop were then poured into the tank agitating only for one minute.

- 400ml of fix was then pored into the film tank agitating for six minutes making sure each part of the film was being processed.

- Once six minutes had passed i was able to take out my spiral of film and place into a water tank which would be left to wash for fifteen- thirty minutes. Once this was complete a splash of wetting agent should be used across the roll of film to prevent any wet streaks appearing once dry.
