What kind of lifestyle do you have to provide for a wolf dog? I imagine you can’t just stick them in a small backyard or make them apartment dogs like most dogs. I saw the huge hole wild dug, and it made me wonder what other ‘wolfy’ instincts he acts on that makes him different from most dogs.

How a wolfdog acts is based on a lot of factors, probably the largest being content. A low content wolfdog might act predominantly like a dog and would likely require much less in the way of a lifestyle change than a high content. Wild is a high content.I sort of joke (but it’s not really a joke) that Wild is my full time job. He isn’t, but he is. Every decision I make…from what time I’m getting up to what order I’m running errands in to where I’m going on vacation ALL require me to factor him in. Every single day, every single choice, has an effect on us both. Now, I’ve chosen to have Wild be with me most of the time - in the house, on road trips, on dog friendly outings - so those that don’t want that and are okay with their animal being full time outdoors in secure containment wouldn’t have to have such a drastic lifestyle change either.When I got Wild, I knew everything was going to change and I knew it was going to be a lot of work and I just prayed it would be worth it in the end. So far, it has been! But it’s definitely not something that I would recommend for the majority of the population. It’s hard and sometimes it’s frustrating and sometimes you just want to take your dog to Rock City but he’s illegal there.
