3- Which of your fics was most different from what you usually write?
EASILY Love Makes a House a Home. Surface level it’s basically fluff which I have been doing a lot of lately, but it’s DOMESTIC fluff in an established relationship and involves an actual, full-on traditional marriage proposal with a ring and everything just for fluff’s sake. I never do that. I’ve posted 1.6 million words to AO3, and I think there is ONE other story that has that, and it’s a 300k+ apocalypse story and the ring/marriage is a plot device.
8- Which fic this year was most fun to write?
Hands down Siren’s Song. Absolute blast to write, and the readers of it were super interactive and so dang SMART. Wrote it in record time for me. Loved all of it.
CapSwap that's intriguing!
CapSwap is just a stupid idea that I had where Owen and Bobby have to exchange their station for a month. My file for this one is basically a list of things I want to write:
Owen gives Eddie skincare advice
Owen goes to the farmer marker with Buck
Owen exchanges parenting tips with Hen and Karen
Owen sings a song with both Maddie and Chimney at the karaoke bar
TK and Buck call each other every night to complain about their night
Bobby learns about Barbacoa thanks to Judd
Michelle asks Bobby to line dance
I also want to make a gifset but this is the only gif I made months ago.
When Bobby Nash received a call from the fire chief, he expected another suspension. It’s the only thing that comes to his mind now when the highest-ranking member of the department personally asked to talk to him. To be fair, the 118 had its fair share of suspension and Bobby is driving to the fire chief office, wondering which one of his team is going to be benched again. None of them deserve it, but life keeps throwing them curveballs so Bobby is just expecting the next one. They are all doing fine lately, at least at work. Sure, half of them still need some serious therapy to get through their trauma, but Bobby trusts them to deal with it. He’s about to enter the office when he sees a small red-haired woman talking to the chief and laughing with him. Bobby can barely see her face, but he recognized her voice and he’s annoyed already. She’s finally leaving the office and the chief wave at Bobby to enter.
“You remember Taylor Kelly?” the chief asks. Bobby is surprised to see him smiling this way. He knows he should be relieved because it probably means that no one is getting fired, but a reporter is never good news for him.
“It’s kind of hard to forget her and her cameras,” Bobby says. He’s trying his best to keep his tone respectful while addressing his superior.
“Her news report about the 118 did great for public relations”, he explains. “The department had to cut some parts they didn’t like, but otherwise it helped with public opinion.”
“Do you want her to make another video? Because I know you liked her work but I can’t say I was happy having her around” Bobby says.
“You won’t have to worry about Taylor” the chief replies and Bobby is relieved for a moment. But then he opens his mouth again and the relief is short-lived. “You will be going to Austin,” he says and Bobby’s jaw drops. “Miss Kelly had a great idea to improve public opinion. You will swap places with another captain for a month. We already cleared everything with the other department. They are sending their captain on Monday” he adds, leaving no room for argument.

From my plot hole fill-in where Maya has tinnitus and is hard of hearing after 1x09:
“Movement at the counter draws Maya’s eye. As Travis platters up the stir-fry he made, Vic tries to steal a noodle. She gets her hand slapped away for her efforts, but Dean, maneuvering by after washing his hands, takes the opportunity to pluck one out from under Travis’s distracted nose. Travis’s opens his mouth, indignant. Whatever he says gets lost in the ringing.”

1. Favorite fictional characters this year
Literally everyone on Schitt’s Creek. Literally everyone on Never Have I Ever. Literally everyone on 12 Monkeys. Literally everyone on Prodigal Son.
9. Best new fandom discovery of the year
12 Monkeys. This show is so GOOD and deserves much more attention than it gets, but the small fandom it has is fantastic and I love getting to interact with all five of you.
23. The most missed of your old fandoms
Unexpectedly, Supernatural! For obvious reasons I’ve been very aware of it again all of a sudden, and it’s reminded me of the things I loved about it before I came to regret that very much. I can neeeeever go back there, so I just get to miss the era when I loved it without reservations.
