- At first, this challenge was mainly for writers, but the idea of them showing their love through acts instead of words was too appealing, and we were like: “why not?”. So here’s my take on this challenge, i hope you like it ♥ -

Modern AU, in which Katara is a tired, overloaded med school student and her boyfriend is often worried about how little care Katara is taking of herself.

For your consideration: modern professor au Zuko is not JUST the theatre professor, he’s the STAGE COMBAT professor. He does the fight choreography for the shows! Stage combat is super cool and a way you can give Zuko his swords AND theatre. I bet he would also probably teach a Shakespeare acting class because he’s pretentious like that and Shakespeare would have been the only acceptable form of theatre to his father because it’s a classic. Do with this what you will.

(my) Modern AU zutara

(i just realized i never posted this one here on tumblr. It started as a light/value study and ended up being a zk fanart. am i satisfied with how the first picture turned out? hell no. but i hope you guys like it)

- There is a whole context behind it. And the story is huge. Im gonna try to sum it up: the year is 2020. She’s pregnant with their second child. It’s still her first trimester. She’s having some cravings: one day, she woke up consumed by the thought of pineapple ice cream. Zuko couldnt find anywhere. He bought strawberry ice cream instead. She spent the entire day Sulking. Late at night, he realized that her anger was actually sadness because she really, really wanted that ice cream. She was truly devastated - because of an ice cream. An Ice Cream! Then, he said he’d buy the ingredients and make it for her. She was already crying. When he said this, she cried harder.

ok here’s the entire page. 

this is steambaby n.1, zuko (26) and katara (24) are very much in love with their baby, but she clearly has a favorite. “i can’t believe i carried this girl inside of me for 9 months for this”, katara whispers while glaring at her husband and her daughter sleeping together. “i bet she looks at me and sees a big tit. that’s all i am to her: merely a food provider. nothing besides that, no. im just a tit. that pretty much sums me up. a tit.”

silence.

“katara, the human pacifier. katara, the-” 

“sounds like your mama is pissed at you” zuko mumbled to his daughter, his eyes still closed.
