This song is always about mental health for me. I don't care if that is true or not. Because fighting for your life while doing mundane easy tasks without anyone knowing? That's where my brain exists and I won't apologize.
My favourite moment in friendship is when their Instagram stops fooling you. You look at their curated life and think "ha, #blessed. Yeah right, bitch. I know you were drunkenly eating tacos on the floor last night, because you called me sobbing about how cute baby monkeys are".
And it just makes your heart so full to know that you earned the real them.
A PSA prompted by a comment I got today that was so lovely, I cried:
I read every comment. I look at every kudos and reblog and like. I blush and sometimes cry at the kindness. Just because I don't reply doesn't mean I didn't see you and your beauty, and love you for enjoying my meagre contributions to the fandom. I am shy and embarrassed by attention, so I will likely never be one of those much better people who replies to comments. But please know this: if you have ever, E V E R left me love on my writing, even if it was one word or a keyboard smash, you have made my life immeasurably more bearable for that small moment.
