Here I am, 82 days into my Spencerian challenge, and I finally get enough courage to start using "proper" form. I've tried using this position before, but found it extremely difficult to execute any kind of control over my writing. All I was able to produce were scribbled lines, and I abandoned this position almost immediately, for the position that you see on the right. Yes, that's a playing card under my hand! That's so my hand is able to glide smoothly over the paper without transferring any oils from my skin.
