There are people who have claimed that snakes are an invention of the patriarchy. I usually don’t dignify these claims with a response, but I recently had an experience that opened my eyes to the amount of people who believe this. So, I’ve decided to settle this. Here is a medieval portrait of a snake, which proves that snakes predate the patriarchy and thus can’t be a product of it.
