Worldbuilding Tiem-Rinnae the Anti-Hero Gore Monster-Part 1
So yeah, haven't wrote for a moment so I thought it would be a good time today. Rinnae is the main character of my sci-fi/fantasy headworld Dunamatio and she's sort of the protagonist but also antagonist, she's a hero, sort of, really were just following her story as she grows and learns about her world. She's not really a she btw, i mean she has boobs but they function as fat stores and as far as her genitalia is concerned she could be both or reproduce asexually but lets go with she.
Rinnae is a progenoan hybrid, a species in Dunamatio that are all over the universe that regulate ecosystems. They tend to be docile, wanting nothing more but to eat everything and keep population numbers in balance. But sentient races you know are just like "THEY ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL, LETS KILL THEM FIRST." because they don't like the idea of being preyed upon much to their horror. I mean were smarter than beasts right? So of course were on top of the food chain! (Humans wouldn't last a day in dunamatio,
Progenoans have their own sentient kind but they are very small in number and tend to be killed off quickly because of their appearance and being too nice. (There are evil progenoans but they aren't evil as they are "were just gonna eat everything, fuck being nice to the sentient races and working out deals with them, your killing the ecosystem!")
Rinnae is a mixture between a progenoan, a serial killer that was mutated into a fearsome beast, and a rare progenoan who while absorbing DNA can also absorb energy very efficiently, increasing their natural pools.
Rinnae is very strong, has genius intelligence, energy efficient, and fast, however she can't see during the day and magnets can throw off her senses and hurt her. Most of her vision depends on smell, hearing, and sensing the electrical and heat signals every creature gives off that is unique. She's fairly nice most of the time but she has the occassional fuck-up where she will eat a person and maybe their pet. Her hunger for different types of dna is insatiable. Shes a gullible one, enough that she gets taken advantage of so much in her story she turns into a serial killing gore monster for a bit, she sometimes had a habit for raping her meals while eating them. (What's a blood rage? And why don't i remember anything?)
During Rinnae's younger years she gets trained and raised by her brother and their family's god friend, Xaeros: The god of time. She's basically the cutest, most mischievous little monster child. However during a period of time when she was joining guilds she gets stolen and taken to labs for abusive testing 3 times, the first 2 and the events following after that, put her into monster mode. The 3rd one manages to reset her back. Rinnae's mental instability also has to do with she is a war veteren, she fights in 2 major wars in the dunamatio timeline and has some participation in the 3rd. Rinnae suffers from anxiety, PTSD, Depression, remnants of stockholm syndrome, a multitude of other disorders. (Shes a wreck) But she's one of the smartest people in the universe and eventually becomes an essential scientist to the world. However her inventions will both help and cause problems for people depending on what she is focused on. She creates to benefit the ecosystem, not people.
And that is a glimpse into Rinnae, shes my favorite character I have created and has gone through many reiterations and I'm happy with her at this point, hopefully will do some art of her soon. Oh and just for my yuri fans, she is a 'lesbian' though she doesn't mind 'guys'.
