Yes the query string is used for alot of tracking bullshit. No you shouldn't expect everything to work in case you delete it you piece if shit non-programmer.
urghhhh im a little frustrated that my coworker’s doing all this ui stuff for this project
and they decided to make this change that i just. dont like
so they’re happy about the resources folder but because of how they have it working it requires the client to, if they add stuff, to keep the exact same naming convention and just make the number higher
which A: isn’t great for organizing and B: is a lot to expect from a client
wait would tags work in the resources folder
i might have to see if i can make something like that work
this is a reminder to myself that i need to make an update php script for updating an existing entry in this database from unity
i thought i was done with base scripts for this thing because i had made something to insert, to get, and to get all the entries of with a specific foreign key but i am a fool
at least i know the right php syntax now
can you believe php has you write additions to strings like
$words = “your variable is ” . $variable . “ and isn’t that great”;
instead of being a sensible language and using + instead of .
i’m still not over that
using other APIs and application frameworks: "and this is the call that tells the library to set this variable to the current value"
using Spring: "i'm not sure what happens here, but something keeps setting the variable to the current value. a magical demon, probably."
i've never met a dba I don't like, because I, too, am tired, haven't been exposed to the sun in two months, and cuss a lot.
is java more useful than c :l
oh man, you actually meant programming languages.
i mean I assume.
A lot of it depends on what you wanna do with ‘em. C and C++ are kinda favored in more technical stuff… programs that do a lot of hardware-level stuff, simulations, game engines, and all that kinda thing, while Java has lots of business stuff going on, and web app frameworks and some mobile apps. These strokes are only SUPER-BROAD, but yeah
in my experience, there are more Java positions out there and they usually require less experience, but the C++ jobs sound way cooler. This could be influenced by where I work, because when the people in my industry do simulations, they do not fuck around. on the other hand, I find Java a lot nicer for stuff like ‘I want a program that will roll dice on IRC’ and practically anything else I get a whim to create for my own personal use.
when people second-guess me on programming stuff I'm just like, "What, you don't trust me, do you not know that I am amazing?"
but then when they don't second-guess me I'm all "WAIT WHAT IF I FUCKED UP WHY DON'T YOU ALL PROOFREAD THIS LET'S HAVE A TWO-HOUR CODE REVIEW"
