My weirdo fucking guy, anyway I randomly got possessed yesterday and drew this whole thing after months of agonizing over not knowing where to even start. Of course disclaimer I know nothing abt character design or robots, I just, put things my brain said good👍together and hope for the best

His twin Tails being the literal bane of his existance, for his whole short life, so of course at first he considered ridding off them completely, until an idea struck. What better than to turn them into deadly twin weapons he can decide just how painfull they should be at any given moment. Very much inspired by the Murder Drones nano tails things.
Now of course 09 is not big on combat and preffers just the rewards after the affair, but he's not an idiot to go without a weapon or two if he really has to throw a punch. Claws are pretty obvious, and than I rembered Sevika and her cool robot arm with a fucking sword in it, so I gave 09 a knife.
On his left hand I was considering an arm cannon but, I say 09 would appreciate two functional hands to tinker with.
Hes ambidextrous, but still prefers his right hand to do most things as his left was left, mostly, organic. Which he has complicated feelings about
The shut down mode has been first conceived in this post, but hey isn't it fucked up, the realization that most of your body doesn't belong to you at the end of the day? That someone else can decide to shut off or puppeteer it around whenever and however they please? That the only thing you can trully control is your right ear, left shoulder, and increasing need to breathe faster? All it takes is one fuck up and any autonomy is gone.

Project 09 – a Tails gets adopted by Eggman AU except it's Nine getting "adopted" by the Chaos Council and to no one's surprise, it fucks him and everyone else up in a special way <3
Over the hills – is a Dreamtale and Sonic crossover brought on by The Nine-tailed travel guide through the multiverse event conceived by @/Donelywell and mashed with my long time held dreamswap au idea of Dream taking Night and running away from the village after taking some drastic measures, that is also posted on Ao3!! (more stuff will come to it in time. I hope)
running from a Nightmare – another Dreamtale au, this time about corrupted Nightmare being set loose on the Sonic world by none other than Eggman and the suffering that comes with it (also fighting tooth and tail to get it written)
the n 'n n's (read as m&m's) – unserious crossover where I put Nine Night and Nimona together and have them be silly (perhaps Nuzi will tag along some day too...)
And because I keep having Dreamtale & Sonic thoughts, I do lump them all together under the dreamtale and sonic tomfoolery tag!!
prime arcane – as seen above, I like arcane!! Jinx and Nine are eerily similar in their sibling and identity struggles, I put them together, boom an Au :D other characters are there too but I need to get around actually designing them....

Basically a what if Eggman adopted Tails first au, except it's Sonic Prime in New Yoke with the Chaos Council that snatched him off the street, roboticized him and groomed him into their perfect little killing machine and he's actually totally ok with it because nobody can hurt him anymore, he's fine he's chill hes ok when things don't go his way he's sooo normal ^_^
Yk what, while were at it let me finally throw in some more concrete word building at you
Ofc calling him 09 was a not so subtle way to let an au version of Nine keep his name while giving it a new meaning, that meaning being he's the 9th subject in line that the Council has roboticized.
That procedure used to be exclusive as a punishment for captured prominent resistance members/leaders as a way to decimate their morale but uh, yea it wasn't nearly as effective at giving the council a twisted army of former rebels as they have hoped. It still throughly traumatized and terrified the citizens and repeatedly shaken the resistance so 9/10 strategy.
Rusty was the only remaining successful instance of it for a very long time, since being a part of the resistance, especially in a way that zeroed in all of the Council's attention on you specifically, comes with a stupid amount of determination and hatred that no amount of metal and wire can replace.
As such, most of them either died during or shortly after the procedure, rebelled, "self terminated" or just straight up escaped and were hunted down, with one exception that has remained in hiding (wink wink nudge nudge)
However, after repeatedly slamming their heads against a wall and complaint that it hurt, Mr.Dr actually stepped back and realized that Oh, we can't just put them in a big scary machine that rips them apart and puts them back together and expect them to be normal about it. Rusty happened to be a success because they completely crushed her spirit first and forced her under their thumb, willingly.
How difficult could that be to do to a child convinced the world itself hates it and had nothing and no one to return to.
