We’re definitely still working on it, definitely haven’t cancelled it, and are thrilled that you’re looking forward to it! This gives us all the warm-fuzzy-feelings that you can possibly imagine.
Here’s where we are as of now:
We’re solidly in development writing both our live-action web series (three seasons) and an original series to accompany Anne’s story. We’re also planning a cascading network of interactive transmedia stories told on multiple social media platforms. All of these elements will work in tandem, which means they must be planned in detail before we can begin production.
Anne is our kindred spirit. She deserves a big, wildly imaginative, transformative story. We love her too much to fall short of that.
Stay tuned! We’ll we have more to share very soon.

Hi Katie! I was wondering... are you following NMTD at all or are you too busy with your writing projects to commit yourself to that? I'd love to see your comments on things. I miss them.
I want to watch it! It’s on my list of things to watch soon. I’m slightly worried about the rabbit hole it presents though. I've seen you all go down it and not come back up. I have to be a little careful--because our team is getting bigger and people are depending on me for many things. I don't want to let them down. They've all worked so hard.
I miss talking to my lovely friends about shows too, Misty! <3 But you know me. If I start watching I will have THOUGHTS. Then there might be drabbles. So I have to be a bit careful about when I do this. Is the show ending soon?
P.S: And you can't tell anything but apparently you're allowed to tease and torture us :p
Yes. This is my job. I wrote for 13 hours on Monday to make a deadline. I had almost 6 hours of meetings on Sunday. This helps me feel like it’s worth it. :D
KyrieAnne and I are debating what Hogwarts House Anne would be in. She's saying Slytherin. I said Ravenclaw, but I could see an argument for Gryffindor.
Though I also think it depends on when she attends and who her family is. A Muggleborn in 1870s Hogwarts would have been pretty sad in Slytherin, I think.
I'm going with Muggleborn orphan from Derbyshire (because that's what a history search on last name Shirley told me.) Same class as Dumbledore. They were both fetching red-heads. Ravenclaw. Head girl.
What say you?
department of terrible ideas
We're brainstorming rewards for a thinger (you probably know the kind of thinger I mean) and I have had some amazingly terrible ideas.
Me: Marilla is famous for her jam! I will go to pick your own berries by the kajillion and then make jam and can it in Mason jars...
everyone else: KATIE, NO.
Cracked Slate has awesome postcards to spread the word with letters from Anne on the back!
