Grand Prix style basketball with 7 tournament stops

All games will be live streamed on Youtube, broadcast will be handled by HBS.

Season will start December 2026 and end in April 2027

Valencia, Spain - Roig Arena 15,600 seats March 12 to 21

The hate on Project B because it’s a saudi based league is so dumb. If we apply the same logic to the WNBA we should be hating on it the same cus it’s based in the US a country most famously known for having a fascist government and basically just a puppet state for Israel.

Sorry I’m late answering this. I agree with out completely and want to expand on it. I wanted to have time to sit down and actually answer it. Some of y’all need to start holding yourselves to the same standards you have for these players/celebrities. The second they make a tiny mistake y’all crucify them. Theres no grace, y’all are allowed to do whatever and that’s fine. There’s no telling how much hate Azzi got yesterday for this before y’all realized there’s no Saudi money in this. People see something and immediately respond with misinformation that other people see then it just spreads. It doesn’t matter if you correct it later-the damage is done. At least 7 months ago the tech people that started Project B made statements about the league, their intentions with it, and where the money came from. They made it clear that they were paying Sela for venue stuff and there was no Saudi money coming in. People obviously took issue with that and they later decided not to use them and no longer have ties with the company. All this information has been freely available. If you expect these people to be responsible for what they post and what they support then you should all hold yourselves to that. You have a responsibility to make sure what you’re posting is accurate if you’re going to say a company is corrupt because of where the money came from. In today’s world it’s impossible to not even inadvertently “support” in the way of giving money to some sort of corrupt company or country. You’d never be able to buy anything or leave your home. We can do whatever we can with major stuff that we are aware of but there’s corruption and dark money everywhere unfortunately and the amount of Israeli money in this country is insane. We will never escape it. I don’t like Facebook, Google, or any of those tech giants, but the people who worked there that started Project B seem to have the right idea with their intentions for the league. They want to grow the game. Isn’t that what we all want? It’s a Grand Prix format which I think is awesome and going to be interesting. They spoke about people in other time zones getting to experience the game at a normal time and in person. I hear a lot of y’all talk about how the games are in the middle of the night for you and so inconvenient and wanting to see one in person one day. Again, isn’t this what everyone wants? They also addressed the sustainability of the league due to the money they will be spending paying players etc vs what they are bringing in. Their response to this was that they were guys in tech who were used to start ups not turning a profit for years and it’s expected and they’re okay with it. They’re already wealthy so they don’t need immediate return. Do I want to see Azzi play in unrivaled? Sure. She’s got plenty of time to do that. She’s a rookie and as great as she is the opportunity to play 5x5 at the international level is going to improve her game even more. She gets to grow her fan base and experience traveling the world while doing what she loves. She has a smart team including smart and loving parents who are guiding her and doesn’t need the general public who have zero experience in this to scold her. I’m excited for her and the league and this amazing opportunity she has grow her game while seeing the world and meeting so many new fans. While I’m here let me just piss y’all all the way off. If this league does well I look for Paige to play in it at some point. It’s a great opportunity to do something different and travel and that seems like something she will eventually dabble in.
