Love when the deadline for something is moved up a whole month literally three days before the new date. And I retroactively spent the last week prioritising the wrong thing because it was more time sensitive given the month lead time. And I'm the owner of Particular System and am the only person who knows how to do Tasks in it despite asking for backup for months. And despite the visibility of Particular System and everyone knowing I own it, they're assigning me to a bunch of other Tasks primarily owned by other people (nb as soon as I was dragooned into these Tasks everyone assumed I was responsible for them anyway). And the people directing the overall project have not factored in the workload from the Task I actually own. So I have to respond to direction from on high with oh btw do you remember my Particular System? Did you know I'm now going to be working over the weekend to finish Task? And you're trying to assign me to do cleanup duty on another set of Tasks someone else failed to project manage? Is anyone listening? Hello?
