The species announced for Project Octavo thus far! From left to right - Dragons, Quetzals, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Unicorns, Kirins. Three more hybrids are being created at the moment and more to still yet come. But these will be kept secret until the game is ready.. I will have some more exciting things to share soon!
Project Octavo has an official name! Welcome to Mythaura! After weeks of to-and-fro and constant nagging for feedback from my incredibly patient peers, the once Project Octavo now has graduated from it’s project name and is now sitting comfortably in its new permanent title, Mythaura. The name has obvious elements from its mythological beast theme, and importance to the world Mythaura resides in. I hope to shed more light on the lore in the coming weeks, for now it needs a little more polish. I also have a couple more things to complete before launching the Patreon.
A new Twitter and Facebook page have been created for anyone who wants to follow on anything besides Tumblr. Thank you all for your kind words, support and feedback thus far! They have been so invaluable to me and I can’t thank you all enough. Exciting times ahead!

First look at the two major factions of Project Octavo! A new player must choose to follow one when they create an account. More details on each faction to come soon \o/
First pass sketches of Project Octavo’s “Starter Breeds”! The Dragon, Griffin and Unicorn. These creatures will be the three options to choose from when joining the game. The first creature will have custom colour options, from there it’s up to the player to decide how to progress with their new creature.
Breeding with other creatures have a chance to pass down mutations from either parent, such as wings or spikes. Or if the player is really lucky, it may have the slim chance of producing a Hybrid - an entirely new breed. Hybrids can breed with other hybrids to create another new breed. I’ll be going into more detail about hybrids and breeding soon. For now I look forward to seeing peoples opinions on these three \o/
First pass sketch of the Quetzal hybrid species. This rare species can be obtained by breeding a Dragon and Griffin, though the chances of producing one is very rare. I’ll share more on hybrids when the time comes! For now I hope y’all enjoy this sneak peak of the Quetzal base.
