hihi i'm here to humbly ask if you have video recommendations for getting to know harmmony.... i know shaun and dolphin well enough but somehow i know nothing about harmmony and i need to learn!!

Okay so there are layers to this. There's Infuse Harmmony and Project Unknown Harmmony, both of whom have just fantastic character arcs.

So recently both Shaun and Harmmony put out their Infuse Season 2 videos. Shaun's video is just. Absolutely gorgeous. I love her so much and her storytelling is beautiful.

And then Harmmony put out her POV which is similar with some secrets that she either didn't tell Shaun or Shaun chose not to show and it's absolute cinema.

I love these two. I love them so much.

And if you want some background for the events going on with Dumb+Dolphin at the time, there is this video.

Technically not important for Harmmony purposes and yes it always kills me to see them betray Shaun and Harmmony. I will never be over it.

There's also a very fun 2 and a half ish hour stream of Shaun and Harmmony building a gorgeous Nether Portal at Spawn on Season 2.5, which I adore. Do not ask me how many times I've watched Harmmony kill Sharky in that video. It's so funny. I love Harmmony so much.

Beautiful pink duo.... I would burn down this whole world for them.

Anyway if you really want to break down crying, there is also the events that happened in Project Unknown Season 1 and 2. Right now, the best videos for seeing Harmmony for that is Dolphin's videos which are tragic because Dolphin just. Steamrolls her. The Mani economy will never recover from this. I have so many fics that Ive written while in tears thinking about Project Unknown.

But!!! Harmmony has said that she is putting out a Project Unknown video sometime soon!!!! I will be excitedly awaiting that. Might even call out of work for it when it finally drops cause I know Im gonna be on the floor over it.

Anyway I hope you enjoy these, I love Harmmony so much (and also Shaun and Dolphin) but Harmmony has such an important place in my heart right now. Maybe I am coping by writing a lot of Serendipity fics but I just want her to be happy and to win.

i still think about project unknown and how the first time dolphin fought As dolphin, was at the final stand off. the whole video is centered and spent lying, devising, disguising themselves as someone else. mostly impersonating sososhaun, sometimes when the situation required so of them, some anonymous ill intentioned player— like when dolphin decided to silence harmmony.

he never reveals his self to anybody. but not just his misguided goal, or his killings that eventually led to his teammates' and His own downfall, not just the ugly aspects the viewers all shook their heads at —because as viewers we get to see dolphin from dolphin's perspective. or at least what dolphin wants us to think of him, anyways—, but also the good intentions. the ultimately misguided, but pure feelings behind his motives. it wasn't selfless, because we know from the very beginning of the ideo that this strategy was convenient for him as well, to hide under the guise of a weaker player, a player that is Known to be nice and kind, to get people to let down their guards, but it wasn't an act of using and discarding someone— sososhaun, but as well an attempt to protect sososhaun from other people's greed for kills.

and oh, isn't she familiar with that greed?

a grand part of the video is woven around this greed, this lust for blood. dolphin is protecting sososhaun from people like her. THAT'S INSANE. this is further proven true when eventually, dolphin's attempted murder on sharkilz backfires and end up killing shaun, as well as when harmmony has to die in order to take the secret dolphin started to the grave.

in trying to protect sososhaun, dolphin brought about their demise, and misfortune for everyone else around them. like tumbling snow down a hill growing bigger and bigger until it crashes and burns and takes everyone else out with it.

on a side ramble, i think it's interesting how dolphin tried to 'redeem' sososhaun's reputation through these means, when clearly it was never what soso wanted. soso never expressed greed or ambition for kills, it was only dolphin. and this isn't the first time, right? dolphin uses her pvp skills to leverage her worth, and uses her skills to protect others and prove herself. time and time again. this didn't work too well with sea4, when dolphin put her best foot forward in attempting to impress sea4 and make herself look like a worthy teammate. but sea4 was more skilled than her, and this dynamic of admiration, of putting sea4 on this pedestal, made her every failure all the more searing. the starter team on infuse? she could not impress them either. could never figure out how to shake off their looks of suspicion until she was essentially excommunicated.

but sososhaun? sososhaun was a weak player. sososhaun needed, depended, on dolphin. this soothed some aching part of him that looked for validation. that he is indeed worth something, that his skills, the medium he has used to get here— weight in the situation and matter to someone. that he isn't just someone to be sidelined, that he isn't just 'not enough' in the eyes of every teammate that gets close enough to see the cracks.

once again on bliss, dolphin tells wyll that they won't be ditched by the brotherhood because they are skilled enough to be worth keeping as a teammate.

dolphin uses her pvp skills to leverage her worth, so, it isn't that different this time around, right?

so i think, just in between the lines crafted for the viewers, there was an underlying fear that has been consistent throughout the many smps he has been a part of.

and you know, isn't it really symbolic? the first and second time someone other than the viewers get to know (some) of this, are all at the very end when there is no more any need to keep up pretenses after sososhaun dies. the first time is when dolphin voluntarily makes everyone visible at the meeting post end fight and dukes it out with the team that killed soso. they don't ever learn the person that jumped sharkie back then wasn't soso, but rather dolphin, but 'dead' people have no business knowing anyways.

for the first time in the entire event, dolphin is vying for a kill as dolphin. as sososhaun's avenger, as a heartbroken friend, and that is all that sososhaun's killers need to know.

the second happens when they're having a talk with sososhaun post both of their deaths. it is really just dolphin putting it all out on the table, for sososhaun to see and judge. to plead? to hope for forgiveness, for lenience—

dolphin: surely some part of shaun knew that deep down, i just wanted what's best.

to come clean, to clear this burden of lying and deceiving and lying off their shoulders to move on. move on from project unknown. move on from killing harmmony. move on from having indirectly killed sososhaun. move on with sososhaun, because dolphin was tired too, the guilt and the scheming maybe fun at first, but quickly became too much as the lies piled up and became something bigger than they could control. the lines spilled and overflowed, and the theatrics escaped dolphin's carefully crafted stage.

and you know. as we, for the first time, get to hear a point of view other than dolphin's own, we hear sososhaun's, dolphin disappears from view. literally fades away. sososhaun right then and there, chose to cut dolphin off their narrative. severing their ties— at least in this world, anyway.

and i think about harmmony a lot. harmmony was cut off dolphin's narrative too. i talked about it before, i like my interpretation of harmmony disappearing off dolphin's narrative because of dolphin's sense of guilt— because deep down she knew what she had done wrong.

sososhaun did to dolphin, what dolphin did to harmmony. :)
