Finished the hat; took 2 hours 25 min. Hardest part was seaming the two ends-- I think I did it very haphazardly.

Aug 27: returned to the hat after a break -- abt 8 inches now, 30 mins
Aug. 13: hat rectangle is roughly 4" now.
Time spent: 15-ish minutes
Hat rectangle progress: 2/21 inches, 20 min of work-- I might do more later idk
If I work every day including weekends on my hat for a hour the next 2 weeks, it'll take 14 hours to get to 21 inches. (Took me a hour to crochet a inch wide with the 35 stitch height today).
Pattern: The Photographer Hat by Lavanya Patricella Yarn: 1 skein of Patons Classic Wool Merino in “Bright Red” Needles: US 6 and 8 Time: November 25--28, 2016 Ravelry link
I have to play a bit of catch-up with some finished project posts! This is a hat I made as a Christmas present for my cousin who loves the band Twenty-One Pilots, who are known for their love of red hats. This pattern was a very quick knit that made a great gift, so I definitely intend to make it again!
Pattern: Buttonhead by Lee Meredith Yarn: 1 skein of Dream in Color Classy Worsted in “In Vino Veritas” Needles: US 7 Time: May 1, 2015--May 29, 2015 Ravelry link
My good pal mocaw has been buying me neat comics from TCAF every year for my birthday, and this year I wanted to pay her back with a knitted gift! She confessed to admiring my other red Buttonhead and wanted a dark red/burgundy version, and left the button choice up to me. I’d never worked with Dream in Color yarns before but Classy worked up very nicely, and didn’t bleed at all while soaking to be blocked, so I definitely want to try more of their lines!
(About the time length: I was in the hospital for two weeks in the beginning of May, so that accounts for the delay haha)
Pattern: Cocoon by La Maison Rililie Yarn: 2 skeins of bulky weight gray wool, missing label Needles: US 8 for brim, US 9 for hat body Time: May 30--June 5, 2015 Ravelry link
This summer I’m trying to destash as much as possible, which means I’ve been sweating a lot as I try to get rid of soooo much wool. This hat is a lot hairier than the photos make it look and at first I wasn’t too keen on it, but once I blocked it I found that I liked it a lot more. Plus, being so thick it will definitely come handy this winter, brrr. The pattern is very easy, if a little annoying to use because it’s not available for download and the font is so huge :/
