There is only one painting with EMBOSS on it: the Tanjore Painting. The painting has areas that are ELEVATED from the surface. Learn more
Tanjore Paintings have been popular for hundreds of years because they express an interest in the mundane life of the common people from rural regions. Tanjore paintings are not just beautiful to look at, but they also offer a sense of peace that is very calming. This can be seen through the depiction of natural elements such as trees, flowers, and animals. The simplicity of these paintings is what makes them so popular today.

We’d like to introduce you to another one of Collaboraction’s Let Hope Rise Community Partners working hard for communities in Chicago: The KLEO Center
The KLEO Center asks Chicagoans to Keep Loving Each Other and aims to rebuilding the world, one community at a time. Born out of the tragic death of 27 year old Cook County correctional officer Kleo Yolaughn Barrett, KLEO seeks to strengthen communities affected by senseless violence and to provide assistance to women and children whom have been affected by acts of domestic violence, to improve their socio-economic status, self-esteem, and quality of life.
Through various programs and initiatives, KLEO provides community support systems, education enhancement, and comprehensive job training to help youth improve their situations and to find success down the line.
Located at 119 E. Garfield Blvd, KLEO works mostly in the Englewood neighborhood through surrounding schools and community organizations like the University of Chicago, WPC, YMCA, & the Yancey Boys and Girls Club.
Meet Steve Gazaway from The Kleo Center at the Friday, August 8th performance of Crime Scene Chicago: Let Hope Rise 2014 when we take the tour to Hamilton Park in Englewood.
Visit their website to learn more about their incredible programs and how to get involved.
