Midday yesterday, there was an incident in one of the new stores at Shrike Mall. In preparation for their opening, a store owner and their co-worker were preparing to complete their inventory when the owner was tripped by a sharp wire in the dark. At first, they were unable to see their attacker, and they were quickly stabbed in the chest before the lights were turned on by their co-worker, who had rushed inside upon hearing the commotion. Seeing the wolf-masked killer in the light, the co-worker set off the alarm, which caused the assailant to flee. The store owner is currently in hospital being treated for their injuries. This break in pattern has made investigation more difficult, but authorities are on the case.

Mulder spins around.

“This,” Scully says her arms crossing over her. “Hiding information from me, making me look stupid.” She’s pissed.
But so is Mulder; at the people inside that room, at her…
“I think I’m the one who’s always looking stupid, Scully.”
Especially now she’s here to counter every theory he has.
He goes to walk away, Scully grabs onto his arm.
“Can we just agree for you to tell me everything on the case?”
Mulder pouts but agrees anyway. This issue remained: he just didn’t trust her still.

October Theme: Halloween!
Rather than a poll for an unrelated theme, or even more specific themes that could fit under the Halloween umbrella, it was decided this month’s theme should be “Halloween” in honor of everyone’s favorite holiday!
You all have free reign on how to interpret and approach this theme. So long as the result falls under the Halloween umbrella, your digifakes can be as terrifying or adorable as you want.
As for what falls under the Halloween umbrella? Well, whatever you think of when you think of Halloween! Pumpkins, monsters, witches, black cats, bats, spiders, ghosts, black and orange! Really the possibilities are endless, this month’s prompt is fairly broad so take it how you will.
