Sharing Space

Jack shifted in his easy chair, glancing around. He had never thought this would be his favorite space -- a 'reading' room. The smallest guest room became a library/office that he worked in regularly. 

Retirement -- anything after hockey -- had never crossed his mind. He had been so focused when he was younger that not having hockey dominate his days was an abstract concept.

Now? He needed to get his chapter of their book to his editor soon. Their first book had proven wildly popular - Eric's recipes and Jack's historical notes let them both shine.
