Some Manhwa/webtoon recommendations

Manhwa

Amongst the tainted (available on webtoon) Ongoing, Season 1 completed

This is super amazing! I was looking for copper and I found a diamond! Tired of generic plot, 2d characters, overused character designs? WORRY NOT! The plot is very intricate with religious allegory especially related to Christianity. The themes are quite interesting! I usually don't like female leads and male leads as they feel copy pasted with no real personality, but the characters here are very complicated, they are super charming. The art? Majestic. This one is dark, psychological, tragic and heavy. Don't judge the male lead from the first few chapters and stop reading it!

2. Four options(available on webtoon) Still quite new and it's ongoing with 20+ chapters

Its quite good for now. They all seem like real humane characters. 3 male leads are shown right now. Female lead is studious and a hardworker. Art is chef's kiss. It portrays youth and south korean education quite well, I believe.

3. Like Mother, Like Daughter(available on webtoon) 100+ chapters and ongoing

True thriller. I really like the mc here. Art is again very nice. You wouldn't even know how the time passed since it's that good. The author does quite well portraying psychologic horror and gripping thriller. I wish it gets more acknowledgement! It's 10/10 I love a strong female mc

4.Proof of dignity(available on webtoon) Quite new as well with 20+ chapters

Man I love the female mc of this manhwa so much as well! This is again another good portrayal of the education system. Lower economy student in a prodigious private education but it doesn't overdramatise it. Having a good for nothing dead beat gambler father, the struggles of a genius etc The female mc is soo strong and it doesn't really follow the stereotypes. It is super good and inspiring frankly.

5. Hand jumper (available on webtoon) 100+ chapters and ongoing

Another female mc led webtoon. It is not really a manhwa I believe. This is peak in action/psychology/thriller. Nothing to be said just open webtoon and start reading this. The journey is just amazing. Another amazing and complex female lead. Art is op

My top 4 webtoon series. Came across a few references among the fandom which i absofreakinglutely adore. That's when I notice a pattern on my reading preference.

what I do love about huiseo and geonyeong’s relationship is that they both don’t understand love or how you’re “supposed to” love others. Their parents’ toxicity seeped into their own actions and they have to either actively go against it or suffer together in their strange compatibility. Geonyeong doesn’t know how to empathize with others beyond knowledge that education = freedom and respect, so that’s all the advice she gives and shows weakness to those who suffer as she does; Huiseo also doesn’t empathize with others well, she’s just as obsessive as her mother and manipulates others (i.e. running away and sharing her abuse so Geonyeong will pay attention to only her, etc.) to be “loved” even though she knows that no one truly does.
