for the fic writing meme: 3, 8, 11, 17
3. Do you anticipate writing for a new fandom in 2018? Which one?
Iiiiii don’t know? I think all the shows that I’m currently fannish about I’m already writing for. I really like Runaways but IDK if I’d ever write fic about it, especially because the mythology and timeline are so tightly plotted there’s not a ton of wiggle room for storytelling. I also am planning to watch Black Lightning, but I think it’s too early for me to know if I’ll have fic-writing feelings about it or just TV-enjoying feelings. That said, 2018 is a long year - I’m sure something will come up.
(I answered 8 & 11 here, so I’m not going to post the answers again.)
17. Do you typically answer all comments/reviews individually? Do you plan to change the way you interact with your readers this year?
Pal, I am brutal at responding to comments and I’ve never been fully clear on what the fandom consensus is for etiquette on this. If people send me an ask or a reply on Tumblr I think I’m better about replying, in part because they disappear into the ~ether if I don’t? Periodically I’ll feel like I should reply to my AO3 comments because I love getting them and am super grateful that people take the time to read and respond to my work, but I have trouble not sounding awkward and I’m not sure that it’s really important to readers that I thank them individually.
I do, however, super love talking to people about fic and headcanon-jamming and generally rolling around in my fandom feelings, and I’d love to do more of that & keep doing that this year for sure.
