hello, friends!!!!!!!!

i had the greatest weekend (well, saturday - monday) ever and i just wanted to document it...somewhere!! feel free to skip. this is mostly for me to remember & look back at. i learned how to do read mores and everything just for you because I CARE.

highlights from my favorite days in recent history:

first, and most obvious, INGRID MICHAELSON’S HOLIDAY HOP. i have cried pretty publicly about this already, both on twitter and instagram, but i’m just. so in love with her. she puts on such a great show. it was endearing, inappropriate, enchanting. so much!!!! her voice is unearthly and getting to see her live for the first time with such great people (maddie + sonni, ilu) was so nice! :’)

walking to see the christmas tree @ rockefeller w/maddie at night + christmas music blaring + all the people dancing around us in the street. it was such a Moment. 

i mean, improv shows at ucb are always a good time. 

the complete fucking sexual awakening of watching/discovering secret someones, jesus fucking christ. i don’t know how to explain any of this, but their set was unbelievable. they are.....electric on stage. fuck. and all the girls are so hot and have beautiful, gritty voices (and they harmonize better than anyone i have ever heard in my entire life) and they all play electric guitars and honestly, leave me alone. i’ve already bought and listened to their album in full and it hasn’t been 24 hours yet. i love them so much. 

watching maddie watch (and enjoy!) her first ever parks and rec episode (the fight) was honestly a high point in LIFE. 

but also getting to watch a bunch of one tree hill episodes together was an Experience because this dang show is the reason we became friends. brooke davis <3.

basically sunday was netflix in bed + pizza day.

the delirium that set after holiday hop. i have no idea what was going on, but maddie and i were so messy and hysterical all the way home. in walgreens, on the bus. everyone hated us. it was midnight and we were so obnoxious, but i loved it. (when was the last time i even laughed that much?)

maddie not knowing how to use a subway turnstile it is still the funniest thing in the world, omg.

so yes, a good weekend. currently right in the middle of post concert depression (also your favorite person leaving u depression)!!!! anyway, my instagram has been just as obnoxious, as i’m sure you all know if you follow me on twitter (eyes emoji). that’s all!!! if you read all of this, i have no idea why but i like you very much :)))

mschrader - THANK YOU, my love!! I know I tweeted about my job offer last week, but I think it got buried in the saga of no water/no gas/no keys. I’m sorry you won’t be in the city this weekend but I will be back again soon!! I’m definitely coming in December if not before that (probably before that, let’s be real - I want to come see everyone while Sonni is in town)!

rozf - Thank you, dear!! I haven’t had time to enjoy it yet, but I think they told the rest of the firm today because I’ve started getting messages from attorneys I worked with congratulating me today (and so did my other summer associate friends). And yes, I did see what you were up to this summer. I missed seeing you at SDCC!

(I should preface this by saying that someone could ask me this question next week and I’m sure the answers wouldn’t be the same. My Christmas love is legendary. I love all the songs, yikes.)

‘O Holy Night,’ and probably the Michael Crawford version. It gives me goosebumps.

‘The Night Before Christmas,’ by Carly Simon. God, the joy that song gives me, and my kids love it SO HARD too. It’s one of our favorites to just blast until you can’t hear yourself think.

‘White Is in the Winter Night,’ by Enya. I mean seriously. Listen to that song and try to be in a pissy mood. It’s pretty hard.

‘In the Bleak Midwinter,’ by Sarah McLachlan. When she sings the line, “Cherubim and seraphim thronged the air,” I swoon.

‘Silent Night,’ by Stevie Nicks. Only adrenalin211 fully understands why, but that song is actually porn to me now. And no, I don’t mean that in a euphemistic way. The level of wrong in my brain is high, okay?

deb morgan! jesse pinkman!

deb - GRYFFINDOR! she is a lion through and through. deb is the definition of passion and loves with every fiber of her being. she would literally kill for the people she loves. she has a strong sense of right and wrong and will go to great lengths to see that justice has been served. she is definitely reckless and is willing to break rules and stand up for what she believes in. 

jesse - HUFFLEPUFF! jesse is a Good Kid. he’s kind and loving and WOULDN’T SMASH THAT LIL BUG!!! idk why that’s so important to him being a hufflepuff but it IS. he is capable of dedication and hardwork and def has the loyalty part down pat. relationships are very important to him, which is, in my book, a big hufflepuff trait. he just cares so deeply and is so good and it has to be hufflepuff!!!
