For my birthday this year...
...my best friend found me a gift that brings together my deep abiding love of both Harry Potter and tea. It does not include a cream pitcher but I do have a tiny one that is ostensibly shaped like a penguin but, placed in context, is obviously a Niffler.
It's a very cold, wintery, snowy day over at My Nerdy Kitchen so we are making a proper cuppa tea, straight from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" chap...

In celebration of the final episode of The Mentalist, my mom said she was going to make my sister and I special tea...I thought she meant she'd put chocolate shavings/whipped cream in it, or some such. I was totally surprised when she poked her head through the door (a la Jane in his attic), said "Are you ready, Lisbon?" and brought down a tray with three replicas of Patrick Jane's teacup, all filled with steaming Chai tea.
Best. Christmas present. Ever. I squee a little every time I get to lean casually against a door-frame, saucer and cuppa in hand.
(Note: Still haven't seen the finale. Only up to season 6, episode 10. No spoilers, please.)
Yorkshire build up for Christmas...excited!!!!
Im pretty excited to go back to Leeds numerous times in the build up to Christmas :D Ice skating, German markets, Football and drinking copious amounts of 'Tea'.
No better way to spend a Sunday night
Having missed the saturday airing of A Town Called Mercy, and have spend most of the day recovering from excessive drink from last night, I am about to curl into bed with a cuppa, some jammie dodgers and watch the new episode. I wish I didn't have work tomorrow morning, but at least I can enjoy this next 45 minutes the Proper way.
