I finished a full rewatch from the beginning and...I'm starting to rethink the theory that Lené came back first, or at least where she traveled back to.
She mentions being stressed from "facing the real thing" now that she's started work. It seems like she was a nice, kind girl who did not suspect anything that was going on until she joined the company officially and she started to smell fishing things.
And Peem was already working at the company the day that she rejected Rann, she wouldn't have sent someone who was working for her to work with her dad afterwards, it should be the other way around. She would have hired him to make it look like it was his dad who hired him to shadow Lené under the guise of being her bodyguard, so she must have been onto him before she rejected Rann.
And because she had already planned to send her abroad before the rejection as well.
She definitely seems to be protecting Rann, so I think there's more to it than just having a shady father, but maybe her travelling back in time is not quite right.
And the fact that Lené's dad thinks that the way to create a weakness for her is to get someone that she likes. Lené avoided having a relationship with Rann throughout the 4 years of university, even though as her own friends said, it was very obvious there was something between them. Although, at least during her uni years, Lené seemed to always consider they would stay together in the future, saying things like "I guess you'll have to keep me around forever."
All of which could mean nothing! But still...
Anyway, just putting it out here, even though we'll likely get most answers in two days.
