I finished a full rewatch from the beginning and...I'm starting to rethink the theory that Lené came back first, or at least where she traveled back to.
She mentions being stressed from "facing the real thing" now that she's started work. It seems like she was a nice, kind girl who did not suspect anything that was going on until she joined the company officially and she started to smell fishing things.
And Peem was already working at the company the day that she rejected Rann, she wouldn't have sent someone who was working for her to work with her dad afterwards, it should be the other way around. She would have hired him to make it look like it was his dad who hired him to shadow Lené under the guise of being her bodyguard, so she must have been onto him before she rejected Rann.
And because she had already planned to send her abroad before the rejection as well.
She definitely seems to be protecting Rann, so I think there's more to it than just having a shady father, but maybe her travelling back in time is not quite right.
And the fact that Lené's dad thinks that the way to create a weakness for her is to get someone that she likes. Lené avoided having a relationship with Rann throughout the 4 years of university, even though as her own friends said, it was very obvious there was something between them. Although, at least during her uni years, Lené seemed to always consider they would stay together in the future, saying things like "I guess you'll have to keep me around forever."
All of which could mean nothing! But still...
Anyway, just putting it out here, even though we'll likely get most answers in two days.
Also wild to me that he mentioned Indiana Jones because Spielberg WAS the original director of those movies. To be like "fuck you you're not allowed to have the characters change in ways that reflect your own changes and growth" is just so depressing.
Your characters are never allowed to change from who you were when you made them
Is it normal to have visions? Like I get moments of deja vu almost. And in the moment I'll realize I've seen this moment in time before. And I'm able to predict what happens next. To a point?
Like for example I had one just now. I'm sitting at the table eating soup out of a giant mug watching Critical Role. And I got this sense of deja vu and realized I'd seen this moment before. And I remembered in my vision I'd poured my water bottle into the rest of my soup. And then I was disappointed cuz my soup didn't taste good anymore. So then in reality, I decided not to do that and I got to finish my soup in peace.
Your dreams cannot create anything new that you haven't seen before. But in my vision I knew it was Critical Role, specifically a shot of Travis, Marisha and Liam.
And I've had visions like that before? And I was able to change them. Something bad usually happens in the end of my visions so in real life I'm able to not do the bad thing.
One vision a long time ago, the bad thing was that I said something snarky to my mother. And she and I got into a little hissy fight over it. I decided to actually say it to see what happened and it was exactly as my vision said. My mom and I got into a little fight.
I never remember my vision until it happens and I get the deja vu feeling. Each vision is like 5 seconds long. So it's not like a whole day. Just little snippets of life. And pointless moments too. But I'm 98% sure they're visions. Cuz one was of me and my sister in Universal Studios before it happened. I'd never been. Yet I had a vision of it. Its not like I woke up after the vision like "omg I'm gonna go to universal studios one day" it was just in the moment "oh hey I've seen this moment before, let me hold onto my drink a little tighter cuz this guy is about to bump into me from behind and if I don't its gonna spill all over my sister" and then the guy bumps me in real like and my drink doesn't go flying.
When Alexite Fullona laid his head down to sleep most nights, he was far too exhausted to dream. This time, he was not so fortunate.
Perhaps it was the comfy enough bed, or maybe it was the bit of wine he got in him, but, for once, the Black Rose slept like a log. And thus, as his mind drifted into the sleeping lands, he was carried into a new perspective.
One of the midst of combat in a burning city. His vision restricted by-- A helmet. A hefted shield to deflect an incoming blade, riposted with a mighty swing of his hammer. At this point the faces had all melded into each other. Guard, man, demon, devil, whatever it had been, he could no longer tell. He needed to push forward. The tyrant needed to fall.
At some point he met peasants tucked away in a side street. The infirm and the old got shuffled away to safety, those who still could stand and fight, he rallied, making his way through the streets. To the castle. Knights, guards, everything that would dare stand in the way of the people began to fall. They even began singing at some point, to keep spirits high. Mustering more and more forces as they marched.
He reunited with some of his more trained allies along the way, a welcome change to it all, and it bolstered his spirits even higher. He’d become the senior officer in their forces. That was fine. Victory would be theirs soon. The massive gates soon loomed before them. The rams, where were the battering rams?
Heave, ho!
The massive log slammed hard against the gates. But they held. The tide was turning across the city. More and more ground was gained. Districts held. They were actually doing it.
The gates rattled. This time, out of sync with the ram. It was a sound that was barely heard above the chaos, and yet so deafening.
What was that? Hold! Hold ranks!
He could not control the waver in his voice, even as he made a command. The city grew quiet, save for the crackling flames. Everything painted in an orange glow, a rebellion against the night itself, it seemed. And yet it only grew brighter behind the Castle gates.
CRACK! Hissssss
A massive bolt of flame seemed to shoot from the gates themselves. The sight caused the forces gathered to tremble, staring at the massive thing-- The blade with a paralyzing terror. Soon the wooden gates were alight with an impossibly fast inferno, devouring the things as if they were naught but paper. What stood behind was hatred and wrath made flesh. At least two stories tall at the tip of its horns, with massive, batlike wings unfurling from its armored back In one hand, it carried its massive, flaming blade. The other, what could only seem to be a whip made of flame.
With a crackling thunderbolt, flames whipped out, sweeping across the rebellious forces Half turned to ash. The other half burning alive. Screams filled the air, and were further quieted by the winds. Cruelty among cruelties was the fact that He remained. To watch it all, succumbing to the only thing he could do.
He raised his shield, and charged into the sweeping hand of the Balor.
In a voice that cursed those that heard it, that singed the very soul of the rebellious commander. Eyes of hot coal searing into the gaze of the man he now held The Balor Spoke.
You are never free. So long as I exist, you will be crushed. You will burn. You will perish. You will never be free.
What else could the dazed, armored rebel do, when faced with such a creature?
He spat, the moisture instantly turning to steam before his burned-out eyes.
And he burned.

The last moments of the dream did not wake the Tiefling with a start, but with a gentle dread that carried him out of his bed in a haze. The emotions not yet processed, but not unfamiliar. It was just before dawn, the golden line of the rising sun starting to color the sky of the east. Were there others awake? Maybe. He put on his simple old worker’s clothes, and gathered some of the tools he grabbed from his home.
And from there, the Tiefling went to the front of the coffee shop, stepping out to water the lone rose in a large flowerpot. Routine carrying his morning.
closed eyes, trying to clear my head when I see the distinct, clear image of an androgynous figure with classical makeup dancing in the left corner of a brightly lit blue room, and a top shelf spilling with oranges. they were wearing a red leotard. for whatever reason i feel like i..wasn’t supposed to see it?
this reminds me of the other vision i keep having when i almost fall asleep? it’s a brightly lit room with billowing curtains and streaks of sunlight. but this rooms is golden. It also felt like i wasn’t supposed to be there, too.
