Copper Plate of the Sword of Prophet Dawud
'Ali ibn Abu Talib says: I found this sword and plate in the treasury of Muqawqis, the ruler of Misr. There was an inscription on it from Dawud in Syrian and Hebrew. It says: 'When Jalut became hostile, I made a sword and a bow as the Lord has taught me. Allah granted me victory. Here are the characteristics of the sword: On one side a man with a sword and a head in his hand; on the other is a man sitting on a pulpit. The decapitated head signifies my slaughtering Jalut, and the man on the pulpit signifies Sulaiman. This blessing sword will reach the Prophet Yusuf. From him it will pass to Sultan Sanjar. When Sultan Sanjar dies, his land will be invaded. Then the Firaun will come, and he will rule Misr cruelly. Allah will hide the sword from him, and it will reach Asiya, Firaun's wife. Asiya is a believer. It will be passed on from Asiya to Musa, who will leave it to his brother Harun. It will pass from Harun to the Prophet Yusha, to Malik, to King Shemun, to King Helbum, to King Melmum, to Hubr, to Ehram, to King Defnu, to King Lahud, to King Meymun, to King Darut, to King Melc, to King Ranan, and to King Seth. It will continue to pass from one king to another. Then it will pass to the Prophet Zakariah, then to Yahya, and then to Isa. It will be presented to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, who will put it on in war. After the Messenger of Allah, will pass to Abu Bakr, who will bequeath it to his son Muhammad. 'Ali ibn Abu Talib will appoint Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr as governor of Misr. When he dies, the sword will return to the treasury of Yusuf.
'Ali ibn Abu Talib says: The Prophet Dawud's decree ends here, and I inferred all this information from al-Jifr, one of the secret sciences taught to me by Allah and the Prophet: On the sword were names written in Hebrew and the phrase 'O the Overpowering, o the Powerful Grasper Who cannot be resisted' in Nabataean. The sword will then pass to 'Umar ibn Akil, and then to Ahmad ibn Tolun. Muawiyya will send a letter demanding the sword. Ahmad ibn Tolun will fight in the east and west, and the sword will remain hidden in Morocco in the west until the Umayyad and Abbasid states collapse. Then the sword will reach al-Hakeem Biamrillah, who will conquer Misr with it, and it will return to the treasury of Yusuf. The state in the west will collapse, and it will pass on to the Kurd. It will then go to the state of Kalawun and pass on to Sultan az-Zahir Baybars. During his reign, the Majus will prepare to break into the Prophet's tomb. The Sultan will have a dream about the Prophet, who will inform him of the Majus and location of the sword. He will put it on and go to (the tomb of) the Prophet one night. The Majus will fight with him. Then Zahir will return to Misr and die soon after. The sword will go back to the treasury of Yusuf and remain hidden until 880 AH. A righteous man will dream that he is standing before the gate of Herfil. The Ottoman troops sleeping at the gate cannot conquer the city. A man of Greek origin named Ahmad will open the gate for them. In the morning, the righteous man and Ahmad will meet. He will tell Ahmad of his dream and say: "O sheikh, interpret your dream." "The Ottoman State will enter Misr and I will be the key to the gate." "You are right," the righteous man will answer. After his interpretation of the Ottoman troops entering Misr, Ahmad will have a dream about the moon walking on the Earth. Ahmad will see himself riding with the moon. The troops will charge and after they will leave the scene, and a second moon will come, followed by a third. The letter mim will be hidden in the heart of the first moon, the letter ba in that of the second, and the letter alif in that of the third. Ahmad will see 'Ali ibn Abu Talib looking at him. Calling out "You, Ahmad," he will tell him where the sword is: "Allah will help you. Go north to Bafan. Bani Asfar will appear soon. Alif will go to Misr. The departure of Bani Asfar will take place during the reign of an Ottoman Sultan whose first name is Baykunta. He will kill Bani Asfar with this sword. Their fight will be in the region of Rusten. Then Alif will come from Misr, and Allah will grant them victory. Then the lands will comprise Misr, Hijaz, Damascus, Iraq, Iran, Andalus, Bani Asfar, and half of Europe. After the fall of the Ottomans, unbelievers will fight until the time of the Mahdi. The sword will pass to the Mahdi. Then the sword will reach Isa. He will kill the one-eyed hypocrite ibn Siyat, Dajjal. Allah granted them both faith. Allah and His Messenger informed of all this through secret sciences. Only the Lord knows the unknown. Praise be to Him; He is one. Peace and blessings be upon the Prophet, his family, and his Companions."

The Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) had an ancestral link with the Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him). He existed in Bait-ul-Lahm which was situated at the coldness of ten miles after Jerusalem. The Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) was the newest of his eight brothers. The Prophet Samuel (peace be upon him) had conservative an indication that the Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) would develop king after Goliath. He went to Baitul-Lahm to cast a peep at Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him). He was much impressed at his good-looking and angelic dream. This was the first Kabba of Muslims then now in is in Makkah. Muslims go there for haj and umrah with Umrah packages.
Khaledeh binte Aus, the wife of Prophet Dawud (pbuh)
Imam Jaffar Sadiq (a.s.) said:
God revealed to Prophet Dawud (pbuh) that his partner would be Khaledeh, the daughter of Aus. He ordered him to go to her and tell her that she would be his spouse in the Hereafter. Prophet Dawud (pbuh) went to her house, and knocked at the door, and Khaledeh came to the door. He asked her if she was Khaledeh, the daughter of Aus. She said: "O Prophet of God. I am not who you are looking for." Then Prophet Dawud (pbuh) asked her if she was Khaledeh, the daughter of Aus again. She replied positively. Then he told her she was the right person. She replied: "O Prophet of Allah. There may be some similarity in the name."Prophet Dawud pbuh replied: "No, I am not a liar, and have been told the truth. You are the same person I have been informed about. " She replied: "O Prophet of God! I am not saying that you lie, but by God I do not see in myself what you are describing me as." Prophet Dawud (pbuh) asked her to tell him about her good characteristis. She replied: "Now I will tell you about myself. I am patient with whatever happens to me, be it hunger, illness, or whatever other calamity. I have never asked God to remove hardship from me, until He himself restores my health, and removes my hardships, and I have never asked for anything in return, and I have always praised God." Prophet Dawud (pbuh) said: "It is due to these characteristics that you have reached this position." By God, this religion is the one that God has established for His chosen servants.

Abu Darda (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,
"One of Prophet Dawud's (AS) supplications was: Allahumma inni as'aluka hubbaka, wa hubba man yuhibbuka, wal-'amalalladhi yuballighuni hubbaka. Allahumm-aj'al hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi, wa ahli, wa minal-ma'il-baridi "O Allah! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family and the cold water" [Tirmidhi]
Will we ever be able to fully and duly thank Allah?
Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) used to say in his du'a, "O Lord! How can I ever duly thank You, when my thanking You is also a favor from You to me?" Allah, The Exalted, answered the Prophet, "Now, you have thanked Me sufficiently, O Dawud!” This means, 'when you admit that you will never be able to duly thank Allah, that is when you have thanked Him.' Psalms of David (AS) 1:1-6
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
