Women workers, take up your rifles!
“The High Ground” (S03E12, Stardate 43510.7) is a surprisingly relevant story for today. Who is the hero, and who is the terrorist? Are there truly two sides that have validity? Crusher's performance is solid, as are Picard, Riker, Finn and Devos, and the end does not tie everything up neatly.
2018 January Vaporwave Constructivism 11in x 17in Clip Studio Paint For my Graphic Design I class. The assignment was to emmulate 4 different historical art movements to a buzzword or topic. I chose Vaporwave as my topic and the art movement I emmulated here was Constructivism. This piece I had the second-most fun doing (after the surrealism piece). I knew exactly how I wanted my colors and layout, but I wasn't sure about my text. It was hard figuring out what kind of vaporwave "propoganda" I would include for this one, also to make them conform into their respective spaces. I knew I wanted it to be like an alien- "nevermind the brain slugs" -type situation, so after some research and playing around, I ended up with what you now see here. don't mind the crop & low-res quality. I, a paranoid artist, just wanted to be sure someone couldn't steal my work. ~ mer [ moonblaze13 / kittimer ] facebook deviantart

CRITIQUE REFLECTION propoganda
For my propaganda, I built totalitarian machine hearts. The poster I showed at critique received positive remarks on its monochromatism, complexity, and story; constructively, some peers who liked the piece ultimately wished it did more, either through the use of more shades of red/pink, the addition to or deletion of whole objects (like the microphone covering the mouth), and even someone who had thought the story didn’t have enough breadth of focus, or at least not as much as the original draft they had seen before. Decidedly, I sympathized with most all of my critiques, even more so than those of my positive remarks (sometimes, when viewers project an image unto a work, you get the urge to agree), and so I had a lot of ideas come to mind following critique. I had the opportunity to apply these changes to my poster after critique.
