Hey, a while ago you had a post about proquu- & proquasexual, and i was wondering how are they different from min- and finsexual? Thanks!
Sure thing! So let’s take a look at the definitions (I’ll compare proqua- and fin- for this example, although proquu- and min- could be compared the same way except related to attraction to masuline nb/men).
Proqua-: a feminine person who is only attracted to other feminine people
Fin-: feeling attraction to feminine identifying people
So both terms are typically used by nonbinary people. While proqua- would only be for use by feminine-identifying nb people or women, fin- just means attraction to feminine people and can be used by a nb person of any sort. So an agender person that’s not aligned with any binary gender that is attracted to women could consider themselves fin-, but not proqua-.
Hope that helps!

how is proquu/proquasexual different than being gay or a lesbian? i'm genuinely confused
So it can used in two ways (I’ll use proquu- as the example): for one, it can be used to describe masculine-leaning non binary people who are only attracted to men and other masculine-leaning non binary people. It could also be used for men who are only attracted to men and masculine-leaning non binary people. So it can be a useful term for those who feel like gay doesn’t really fit them because the definition typically doesn’t include those who are non binary. This isn’t always the case, of course, it’s just based on personal preference (kind of like the difference between bi, ply, or pan; it just depends on what you prefer to label yourself as).
