Watching blind playthroughs of narrative-heavy games with eccentric minor antagonists, in particular Prosecutor’s Gambit and Pokemon Black and White, is both an incredibly fun and needlessly painful experience because you have to sit through hours of let’s players missing the forest for the trees and writing off the bizarre traits of these aforementioned characters as mere comic relief, completely ignoring the subtle and not-so-subtle signs that something is deeply wrong behind the scenes. When it comes to gamer catharsis, it’s all too easy to brush off any harsh treatment or suffering these minor annoyances endure later on in-story as karmic retribution for having the audacity to be kinda obnoxious to the protagonists.

Nevertheless, all that frustration is bound to pay off when the reveals eventually occur and you have everyone realise just how much they missed, and just how much they got wrong about someone they previously thought of as a one note annoyance. Seeing other people go through this revelation and reshape the way they see characters they never thought they would end up liking makes the experience all worth it, and it all just reinforces how much I adore and relate to these stories and characters in the first place.

On a completely unrelated note my favourite Deltarune character is Berdly.

I am currently replaying Ace Attorney Investigations and I forgot just how great it really was. Kinda obsessed with Bronco and Simeon too. I love this game and it’s characters :)
