Okay I don't think I've talked about this yet. The pro/dark/whatever whatever vs anti ship bullshit helps nobody. Made my OCD worse. Made me worried about everything I liked because what if it was actually ICKY and BAD and I just didn't realize!!! Ahhhh!!!

The fandoms I was in just absolutely cranked the "if you like this then you're evil" as much as possible. Like, I didn't ship any of the "bad stuff" but it was really fucking weird to see people constantly saying that people who like xyz ship that they should kill themselves...? Like. Man. That's just fucked up. That's hurting more people than the people who ship the "bad stuff," and it's hurting people more than anyone is hurt by seeing weird ships.

Idk. An example of this is the TMNT fandom, which I find... really hypocritical?

Like, Rasey and Jonatello and uhhhh Apritello are super popular ships in the fandom. Those are all anthro/human ships. I don't really get how those are so okay and fine and moral and how they're so much better than like, tcest. To be completely clear I don't like that either, I just.. don't think it's that big of a deal. Or at least it's not as bad as to tell people to commit suicide over a bunch of lines placed in a way to make it look kind of like a person. It's just really weird.

Also again a lot of it is kind of hypocritical because how are you gonna say fiction directly affects reality and makes people paraphiles when you call yourself a monsterfucker or like say cannibalism is a metaphor for love or something. What. What are you fucking talking about. What. WHAT.

Anyways. This is so not a big deal outside of the internet other than with fucked up teens that grew up in the pandemic and weirder more fucked up adults. Who cares. Idk.

Point here is "bring back minding your own business and stop harassing people for shit that doesn't matter."
