How do you get over the initial shame when realizing you’re proship? I’m technically proship since I’m anti-censorship and I don’t honest care what people write in fiction, but I can’t help but feel gross about it, like there is something “wrong” with me and I’m the abnormal one in a group of “normal” people

If you’ve ever felt the same way do you have any tips as to how to get over this?

What may help you is very frequent reassurance. Don't hold back on reassuring yourself that being against censorship and harassment is a good thing to stand up for and that your interest in fictional topics isn't hurting or harming anyone!

I can imagine that, depending on who you got in contact with, you've been told that proshipping is about "icky, yucky, and disgusting shit", but you don't even have like any of the complicated or dark ships/topics/themes to be against censorship and harassment.

You aren't disgusting or anything like that for enjoying fiction 💚 And you aren't wrong for being able to separate fiction from reality and just letting people have fun with their dolls 💚
